The most common cause of this problem is one or more of the valves in the water pump it stuck or damaged You should see 6 caps on the pump body the valves are under them . Take the caps off one at a time pull the valve out and see if it moves it has a cage and a spring under the valve seal if it moves and seats ok then its good The bigest problem is the machines get stored out side in the winter and if the water pump isn't drained and filled with antifreeze the water in the pump when it freezes expandes and it can crack the plastic on the cages and the peice will stick in the valve seal. But most of the time if you just remove the peice the valve will be fine. The other thing that could be wrong is called the unloader valve witch is the part that has the knob on it to adjust the pressure. What it dose it is open when the trigger is released to allow the pressuere to recirulate inside the pump .If this valve is stuck open you would not be able to build pressure . Unfrotinatly most are not serivceable and need to be replaced as a unit . Every body sells a powerwasher but most of them are made with parts from 8 differant companys its all jobed out and they stick there name on it . So sometimes its tricky to find the correct company to get the corrcet part from . Try the body valves a lot of time it will be the problem and even if you need to replace them there are common to many differant machines and not that hard to get Good luck with it

Campbell Hausfeld 2200 psi pressure washer doesn't build up pressure

2 possibilities. It is not getting enough water from the hose or your pressure regulator is bad. Does it sound like the engine is developing full RPM? Could be and engine problem if not coming up to full speed.

Why is it my power washer starts but doesn't develop pressure?

Either a bad pump check valve or bad unloader valve. On customer grade gas power pressure washer pumps it is about the same cost to replace and get a good warranty than repair the current pump.

Karcher k3.00 lack of power

Are you using the same water supply as before when you had good pressure? Some house water lines have pressure reducers to protect your pipes and appliances. This can restrict the water flow and reduce the pressure the machine develops. If the flow surges (good, then weak, then good etc) you are not getting enough water to the pump. Try a larger diameter garden hose (5/8"). If you know where your water line enters the house, try the hose bib closest to it. Often times it is at street pressure instead of (reduced) house pressure.

Check for faulty fuel pump in a 98 expedition

A faulty fuel pump will do one of three things:
  1. Fail to run whatsoever, you will have 0 fuel pressure
  2. Run, but is worn to the point it won't hold pressure, your car will read low fuel pressure, it will spit sputter, seem to idle, but fails to run engine at speed.
  3. Develope an internal electrical short which will allow the pump to run as long as the tank is full with cool gas to keep the pump cool, but will fail to run properly when the tank is 1/2 full, 1/4 full etc.. usually starts to fail when gas gauge reaches a certain lvl.

We have a new honda gx390 pressure drain cleaner with bertolini pump we can not get max pressure to the hose can you help

Assuming that you have a pressure gauge to determine actual system pressure. Without pressure gauge, you could use the sound of the engine as test for capacity pressure (if engine and pump are paired correctly, engine will labor at full throttle under high pressure). Using your machine at rated capacity will decrease the life of the unit. Better to use at 75 ~ 80 percent of cap. (2500psi on your unit). Pressure is developed thru the restriction of the tip/orifice assuming that the pump is working correctly. Tip should be correct for the capacity of the pump. Check the pump capacity for gpm (or test by removing tip connect water supply, then with engine running, catch water in bucket for exactly one min. and measure quantity). Example, 4 gallon per minuite should use a tip with 4gpm markings. If wrong tip size is used, (too large, low pressure, too small, pump will go into unload condition resulting in low pressure) . If thru testing you determin that the correct size tip is installed, suspect valves or unloader. Leaking valves or orings that seal valves will cause low pressure and also cause a pulsating sensation. Worn unloader will cause pressure to rise and fall in a slow cycle. Good luck with your repair

I have no oil pressure in the car we pulled the valve cover today and found 6 of the rocker arms were not installed, we havent pulled the other cover yet however with this not installed would this affect...

are you serious? Aside from that question. If there are rocker arms missing it could affect the oil pressure. Are the oil feed holes in the area of each missing rocker plugged off?

Perhaps I had better back-track here. If the oil lube system has no restrictions in it then there will be minimal oil pressure developed. The oil pump will be pumping oil to the lower end of the engine and that will be where oil press if any will be developed.

The rocker area has drillings which restrict the oil delivery from the pump, however, the rocker arms themselves offer resistance to the oil supply and the oil must have enough flow and pressure to form a circle of oil within the rocker arm and thus keep it clear of the shaft. The oil flow goes through the rocker arm, and down over the valves and pushrods,(if fitted) and drops back down into the oil pan. Different set ups can be used, but that's a basic configuration.

The engine lubrication is designed with certain resistances, and they in turn affect the flow of oil and the pressure developed by the pump.

Good luck.

John deere 6520 2005 model, the heater plug light keeps coming on to tell me the fuel filters need changing, even after ive changed them! i tried swapping the sender unit on the glass bowl to no avail, it...

Sounds like low fuel pressure. The filter sensors come on from low pressure which they think are clogged or dirty.Check the injection pump for air or vacuum leaks, even the feed line is suspect.Check the fuel pump and its lines too.

Excell vr2500 pressure washer ,no pressure, took off high pressure hose at bottom of washer , get water flow, but flow does not change when engine is running full throttle

check the water filter ---high pressurehose must have bbackpressure to develop pressure so disconecting it wont acheive ,much ,if you have agood water supply ,oil in the pump--- adjust pressure by srewing the brass fitting that the pressure hose attachesto, down that is clock wise a couple of turns or so and see if that makes a difference if not seals in the pumpmay be gone tha t should show by water in the oil

There isn't enough pressure to pump water through the coffee

Chalk in the system, let it run a couple of times with plain vinegar. just fill the machine with about half a liter (one water container) vinegar and collect the vinegar in a cup so you can reuse it. run the full 0.5 liter, wait an hour and repeat. Than run 2 full watercontainers plain water. should work again. Cheaper than antichalk fluid and works the same
