Does the screen go blank when you don't enter setup, enter setup, or both?

  • carrylpetrie Mar 21, 2011

Whilst the laptop is booting up the acer logo comes up with Press F2 to enter set up at the bottom then the screen will go blank for about ten secs then return just with the cursor at top left hand side then back onto the original screen with the acer logo, this process just continues and therefore the laptop does not boot up.

    Thanks

This sounds like a problem you would want to contact ACER about. It sounds like there may be a problem with your BIOS or even with the motherboard itself. If you are still under warranty, ACER should repair your laptop at no cost to you. Otherwise, you will have to take the computer to a local repair shop, or try to get help from a company like Geek Squad.
