Hi

First, do you have the right style of blade?

I have found with mine that after you turn the part and pinch the spring together, it must be pinched all the way open or the blade won't go in.

Hope this helps.

Is there an easy way to put the blade in a scorpion saw

Here is a link to the manual for your saw.
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/17171/Black-And-Decker-Ks629-638se.html?page=7#manual
Place the blade with the
tooth protector fitted
over the location pin. The
blade teeth should be
facing the handle.
Rotate the blade through
90 until it is fully located
in the slot and the
location pin is in the
locked position.
To ensure the blade is
securely fitted try to
remove without pressing
the blade release button.
Remove the tooth
protector, your saw is
now ready for use.

Note: If you are unable to fit the blade, check if the
location pin is in the correct position as shown
below. If it is not, keep the blade release button
depressed and use a screwdriver to turn the location
pin into the correct position

Black and decker electric mower hums but blade does not turn. appears the brake is not releasing for the blade.

Something has the motor unable to turn. Do not turn on till you locate the source of the problem lest you burn it out.

Sounds like you have broken a shear pin in the drive pulley.
Shear pins are made to break if you hit something. Other wise it would cost a lot of money to repair the damage.

How to install blades

Almost all scroll saws use a 5 inch blade. You need to take all the tension off your saw before installing the blade. Make sure you are using the right kind of blade. Either it is a pinned blade or non pinned blade. Some saws can use either. Make sure the teeth on the blade is facing down toward your saw table. Clamp the blade into the blade clamps and then add the tension. You should be ready to go now

How to put the blade into the black and decker 3.4 amp powered handsaw

#1) You have to locate the blade release button on the saw (see your manual). The opposite side of the release button is a screw-like OVAL shaped PIN. To insert the blade, the direction( or position) of this OVAL shaped PIN has to match the OVAL shaped hole in the blade. You could use a screw driver to change the direction/position of this OVAL shaped pin. You have to push down the release button when you use the screw driver to turn.

#2) Hold the blade in Vertical position in your right hand. The "Oval" hole is on top. The teeth is facing your left hand. You will see that the "oval" hole on the top of the blade is a "horizontal" oval.

#3) Hold the saw (handle) in your left hand as if you were going to saw using your left hand.
Now peek through the hole of the saw and find the direction of the OVAL PIN. It has to be a "horizontal" (or lied down) OVAL. If it is not, use the screw driver to adjust it.

#4) Hold the blade using your right hand. Oval hole on top, teeth facing your left hand. Insert
the blade from the bottom of the saw. What you needed to do is to insert the PIN into the hole
of the blade. When you inserted the pin into the hole of the blade, slowly turned the blade upward, the blade will lock by itself.

How do I change the blade on a dewalt compound (12 in) miter saw?

With the saw unplugged - The blade needs to be locked in place so it will not turn when you put a wrench on the nut located on the left side of the blade that holds the blade on. This is done with a locking pin on the right side of the blade. Push the pin in and rotate the blade by hand until the pin locks into the blade and prevents it from moving. With the pin pushed in put a wrench on the large nut on the left side of the blade and turn it. This may be reversed threaded, so you may have to turn the nut clockwise in order to loosen it. When tightening the nut after replacing the blade, you will have to once again lock the blade with the same pin.
Perhaps this video will help you locate the locking pin.

Motor can be heard going but the blade wont spin!!

There is usually a pin in the shaft of the motor, that corrosponds with a slot in the fan blades, it sounds to me like either (a) the pin somehow came out, or (b) the slot in the blades is rounded. Hope this helps

Reciprocating saw-snapped blade-cannot be removed

What I would try is to spray some WD40 on the pin first and then see if you can find a small screwdriver or punch and try pushing the pin in further to release the broken blade. It doesn't sound as though it is anything major, maybe a burr on the side of the pin or possibly rust or debris. DON"T hit the pin because you might damage it or push it in and never get it back out. Looked at a diagram and it appears that they used roll pins to hold the clamp in place so it might be that one is cracked or mushroomed and you might have to drive them out. I suggest that you go to Searspartsdirect.com and type in your model number to look at the same diagram.

The two small little guides you refer to are a pair of switches that get depressed when the top is pressed down. In the top is supposed to be a plastic pin in the top of each one of the grooves. When both pins push both of the switches down (look like black dots) the grinder wil operate. The proper solution would be to replace the top.
