Question about Motorola Mobility Defy Cell Phone

How do I set radio presets on my Motorola Defy? Thanks!

Is this some kind of glitch? When I'm seeking up or down, it'll only stop at stations ending in an odd number (.1 .3 .5 .7 .9) and not those that end in even numbers. It's really frustrating when my favorite stations end in .0 and .4...

With the wired headset (or any other 3.5mm connector) attached (to act as the FM antenna), make it seek up (+) or down (-), until the station you want to store. When a deep blue popup window with the tuned frequecy comes up, tap and hold it. You'll be offered available numbers to choose from. Then, after storing some stations, just slide your finger horizontally (either left to right or right to left) to navigate between the stored stations.
Hope it works for you.
This is the embedded FM radio application. If you are comfortable with it, we've finished here. However, You'll notice that it is able to play sound on the wired headset only. This standalone application (many thanks to yipyipyip), on the other hand, doesn't even require that the wired headset be plugged in, at all. If you are not subscribed to xda-devs, do it. Download link will be shown on the first post. Download it and copy it to anywhere you want on your phone (e.g. to \sdcard). Then, go to 'Menu > Settings > Applications', and make sure that 'Unknown sources' is checked. Press the back button twice to finish. Now, go to 'Start > File Manager > Memory card', and navigate to the apk file you have downloaded. Click over it, and you will be prompted to install it. Then, go to 'Start > FM radio' and have fun!
Regards, Carlos

Testimonial: "Very helpful, thank you so much!"

You're most welcome! Really glad to have helped you, somehow. And, thank you very much for having rated my solution positively, and for your kind testimonial. As for your problem with the odd or even frequency stations, I'm not sure whether if it will help or not, since in my region FM stations are brodacasted with the odd numbered frequencies. Anyway, with the FM radio application is pn-screen, tap 'Menu > Settings > FM Radio Region' you might be warned that it is already tagged to a region. If so, tap 'Setting', and choose another region, which might suit you better.

    Hope it works for you.

I have somehow turned off my internet connection on my motorola defy. How do I turn it back on?? Thanks

If you mean its embedded FM radio, inside its music application, try to do this (if you haven't already done it, that is): prior to quiting the application, tap the headset icon located at the bottom of the screen. You'll notice that the 'play' icon will disappear from from the notification area (on the top of the screen).
Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps, somehow.
Anyway, please, let me know if I can help any further.

Motorola DEFY Unlocking InstructionsWarning : Do not enter any wrong unlock codes on your Motorola DEFY mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your Motorola DEFY mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.
1 - Switch ON your Motorola DEFY with a NOT ACCEPTED SIM Card,
2 - Phone will display "Enter Special Code",
3 - You can now enter the Unlock Code.

NOT ACCEPTED: We mean, to use a sim card from a network other than the network your Motorola DEFY is locked to.

WARNING: If one of theses messages appear :

- "Contact Service Provider"
- "Tampert Alter"
- "Wait before enter special Code"

My motorola defy is one week old, and has stopped ringing for incoming calls. The settings are correct, and the speaker is working. I've tried the motorola website, but can't find anything relevant. Any...

My phone does the same thing all I do is take the battery out and after about 15 seconds put it back in.after that make sure your settings are correct again. that should take care of the problem but if not its because they sold you a bad phone. The phone company does it all the time.
