SOURCE: LE Code Help - DMR57 Series

I had the same problem. On the bottom of the unit is a tray the catches any water that leaks from the tub. In the tray is a sensor that shuts off the unit and water if it get wet. Take the tray off and see if water is in it. If so, you have a leak somewhere. You might be able to dry off the sensor and get it to work but if you have a leak, you want to know. Best way to check is put the dishwasher up on two milk crates, leave the tray off and turn it on the rinse cycle and see if any water drips.
On my first unit, the rubber seal was installed wrong at the factory. They replaced the seal, but the error came up again. When checked out, the tub was leaking too. The dishwasher was replaced with another one. After one wash, the same problem occurred. LE error. I took it back and got a different Samsung model. It just stopped working after only two weeks. Evidently the touch pad sensors are bad because it will not turn on. Needless to say I'm getting tired of installing dishwashers. I think I will go for a different brand.

SOURCE: unable to reset after LE problem.

LE is a Leak error, the leak sensor is on the very bottom of the machine. you can let it sit for a while till the water dries and it will start again. If it happens again then you'll have to call for service, that or pull out the unit yourself.. prob. not recomended.

SOURCE: I have a DMT300rfw samsung dishwasher. The other

I just had this same problem, and I think I figured it out. There was water on the bottom from the last cycle, so I pressed HEAVY and DELICATE at the same time for 3 seconds (you'll see it printed on the control panel), and the unit drained. I was then able to start the new cycle normally without the error. Hope that helps!

Dishwasher is showing an 'LE' error code? What does this mean?

LE on a sumsung dishwasher is a "LEak" warning. There is water in the base of the machine. If you tip the machine sideways 45% the water will run out and the machine will start again. This will not however fix the leak! But it will confirm that you have one

What is error code LE?

An LE error code means problems with the motor. It can either be load issues, excessive suds, thermal overload protection, or a new installation. To solve this motor problem, you must first uncover the underlying cause.

HOW TO FIX LE ERROR CODE ON SAMSUNG DISHWASHER DMR78AHS

An LE error code on your dishwasher stands for "LEaking."

There is, what I call, a drip pan on the bottom that the water is dripping into. Remove your dishwasher and take off the lower the side panels to get a look inside the drip pan. If you have water in there, try to find out where it's coming from.

If there are no signs of water, tip the dishwasher over on its side and remove the plastic panel on the bottom of the dishwasher. Once removed, you can disconnect the connector to the leak sensor (it's mounted upside-down, with 4 wires coming out of it. If I remember right, the wires are blue and red).

Flip the dishwasher back upright and plug it in and see if your LE error code pops back on. If it pops back on, then you have a bad board. If it doesn't, then you either have a leak, or the "fangs" on the leak detector are shorting out, somehow.

Good luck!

DIGITAL DISPLAY SAYS LE

Hello, W/D here.
The LE code indicates that the dishwasher thinks that there is a leak, and the leak detector shut the machine down and displayed the LE code.
If you in fact have a leak, it should be repaired either as warranty work or by a reputable repairperson. The LE code can be reset by turning off the circuit breaker controlling the power to the dishwasher for several minutes, then resetting it.
If you have a stainless dishwasher, it is guaranteed for life (usually) against leakage. Samsung will require a service call by their tech, and if the unit is unrepairable, will depreciate the unit before offering a refund. Not great. The good news is that these are fairly robust machines, and leakage might be no more than the door seal. Check the seal and reposition it if necessary, as they not only tend to flatten out, but they also tend to pull out of their grooves holding the seal in. It seems that in making the "tall tub" types, there is less space between the racks and the seals. Larger objects, especially on the upper rack, can bump the seal and pull it out of position a bit, creating a leak. It doesn't take much.
If you bought your machine from one of the major hardwares, and you got the extended warranty, they will make three attempts to repair the unit, then replace it if unsuccessful.
Hope that this was helpful to you. --W-D--Please feel free to rate this solution. Thanks.

My dishwasher model number dmr77lhb is showing error code le and there are no apparent external water leaks how can I rest

I fixed mine by pulling out the unit then flipping over to access the white tray that covers the bottom of the unit. Remove this then dry it out...there's a sensor in there that triggers the LE code. It could be a leak but in most cases it's just built up condensation. EE1/HE/HE1
  • The EE and HE codes refer to temperature errors. The EE1 designation refers to a thermistor issue, and the HE codes refer to heater problems. These are all functional errors that require a certified service technician, but disconnecting the circuit breaker in the meantime can prevent the problem from growing worse.
  • 4E/4E1
  • The 4E codes indicate a problem with the water supply. If you see the 4E code, make sure the water supply line is correctly attached and open and not frozen or clogged. If you get a 4E1 code, check the temperature of the incoming water supply and ensure that it is below 176 degrees. If either of these issues persist despite your best efforts, contact a repair center.
  • 5E
  • The 5E code means there is a problem with the drain. Make sure the drain hose and openings are not clogged or obstructed. If they are not, and the code remains, disconnect the circuit breaker to reduce the risk of electric shock and contact a service center.
  • oE/9E
  • The oE and 9E codes refer to issues with the water level. The oE code means that the dishwasher is filling too much, and the 9E code means it is not filling enough. Disconnect the circuit breaker for safety and contact a repair center.
  • LE
  • The LE code indicates a leak. To keep from voiding your warranty, do not attempt to diagnose and repair the leak yourself. Close the water supply valve and disconnect the circuit breaker to avoid electric shock and contact a repair technician.
  • 6E2/PE
  • The 6E2 and PE codes both indicate functional errors that must be repaired by a professional. The 6E2 code indicates a pressed key error, and the PE code refers to a problem with the half-load function. Disconnect the circuit breaker in either case and contact a repair service.

What does it mean when it flashes LE on the display?

Hi, if you are getting a LE error code from your LG Washing machine, there are a couple of reasons why the error code would be displayed.

The main cause for this error code is because you used too much or the wrong kind of detergent in your washer. This code is set off by too much suds in the washer. Not only will this set off the alarm code, but it may also cause your washer to leak and even start to have a bad smell from the dampness getting where it should not be.

To remedy your problem if you do get this code you must first just let your washer sit for a half hour or so to let the suds disperse. Unplug the washer to erase the code and also to make sure it does not run. Then plug the washer back in and press the power button. Then press the spin button until the no spin/drain only cycle is selected. When all of the water is drained from the washing machine, remove all of the clothing and run a rinse and spin cycle to remove the excess soap from the washer. Then you can finish washing the clothing, but do not add any more soap.

Always make sure that you use the proper amount of detergent and use detergents that are low sudsing.

Other causes for this code can be a large load on a gentile wash cycle. This will cause a miscommunication to the motor. If this happens, lighten the load, reset, and restart the washing machine.

Just plain overloading the washing machine can also cause this error code. The motor will get too hot trying to handle the large load and cause the fault code. If this happens, unplug the washing machine and wait thirty minutes before attempting to wash again.

If you get this code immediately on the start up of a new washing machine, it is best to try to just reset the machine. Unplug the machine and hold the start/pause button in for five seconds. Then plug the machine back in and restart the washing machine

    Take care

We have an lg dishwasher LDS5811ST and there is an error code. LE or an or 2 capital E's with top missing off of the first E. We tried turning the breaker off for 20 minutes and there is water going into...

    Kevin,

The LE error on the LG dishwasher means that the dishwasher believes there is a leak because the level of the water is decreasing between the time the wash or rinse cycle begins (with the proper amount of water) and before the cycle ends and the water is pumped out.

After you have ruled out a real leak (check closely underneath) then here is the next step. 99% of the problem with LE is caused by the drain hose not having a high point between where it connects at the dishwasher and the drain.

The fastest (but not best) way to fix this is create a loop in the drain hose raised high up underneath the counter top. Attach it so it will not fall back. The cause of the "leak" is the natural siphon effect that can develop when the drain hose has not high point. (exactly like the siphon tube you may have created in science class.)

Please report back what you find, OK?

    LE code

LE error is a locked rotor you need to have your hall sensor on the stator or better yet just have the whole stator replaced which comes with the sensor on it (P.S. the stator is part of the motor and has a 5 year warranty)
