Just let it rest for a little while and lower the temparature in the room if you can. If you can't just place a fan on it. Let it cool down and it should power right up. Wii console (and alll consoles nowdays) come with a built-in safety feature to keep your system from literally toasting. Just wait a bit and it'll be fine.

Wii wont turn on

Best solution I can think of is to get a new Wii remote/controller and syncing it to the Wii and turn it on that way. That is if you can get it on to sync it for once. Try popping the button cover off with a knife or flat head screwdriver.

Turns on but wont spin disk

Well we think that the motor inside of the console that spins the disc's is shot now so you should buy a wii because wii's are better than gamecubes are and you can still play gamecube games on a wii too. Because i play gc games on a wii then.

My son left the wii on all night and it turned off and wont turn back on

It is very possible the power supply has burnt out, or the fuse next to power supply. The newer systems do not have much air flow and are made with cheaper parts that can easily be overheated.
Try leaving it unplugged for few hours, press and hold power button with it turned off, wait half hour more, and see if it will turn back on. If it doesn't turn back on, then you will need a voltmeter and test power from power supply to the main circuit board. If no power, supply is bad, if there is power, then there could be a faulty capacitor or chip which can be found with an ohmmeter in the ohm setting.

Wii remote

did you try re-syncing it... i thiknk there is a button on the back of the wii-mote, benoeath the battery cover.. a little red button... that sync's it to your wii... try that and try taking out the battery for a few seconds.

try reconnecting your wii sensor bar to the wii...

i don't think you can overcharge it.. my girlfriends cousin leaves it on the charger 24-7 and it works fine.

This might help - it might not.
Bit, I think it is worth a try.

Try the Wii "RESET".
Here's how:
1. Unplug the Wii for at least 5 minutes.
2. Plug it back in.
