Question about Bosch DHL755BUC Kitchen Hood

1 Answer

Hi, I am installing a DHI645KAU I think it is. It is an under the cupboard slide our 60cm range anyway. It is going into a new kitchen. The electrician said I had to cut the lead off and run a line back to the meter box. In the past I have simply plugged it into the power point in the cupboard. I suspect he is qouting the commercial code of Western Australia. This is a domestic situalion. Should I ignore him?

A domestic rangehood simply gets its supply from a power point in the cupboard above. A commercial rangehood would be on a designated circuit. The same wiring code covers Australia and NZ. Ignore him.

When in self clean mode latch will not lock latch has been replaced what do you think is causing this

If you replaced the entire lock assembly and it still does not work, the control board was originally at fault.
I assume there is no latching action when you call for self clean?
Double check you installation before you go buy a new control board.
Also check wire harness connection from new latch assembly to oven control board.

My range will not go all the back and it is not hiting anything

It is difficult to give an exact solution to this situation, but things you could at, could be;

Depending on the floor surface, the sliding of the range back and forth may have creased the covering and it has formed a crease and one of the feet/s (sic) it preventing it from sliding.

There may be no feet as such and the "buttons" underneath have worn a hole in the surface, preventing the sliding motion of the range.

If the range is in between cupboards, maybe the range is trapped/stuck by friction on the sides.

These are some ideas as you have clearly mentioned that it is not from hitting anything.

Do not force it, there has to be a reason it is not moving and be careful of gas/electric connections when moving appliances.

Best of luck.

I want to remove a faulty westinghouse range hood to replace it. Its mounted between two cupboards. I've removed the filters and looked inside. I can't find the mounting screws. Pls provide procedure....

Some are mounted from the cabinet interior, check that as you will have to open the portion of the cupboard containing the vent tube or chimney to remove the old and reattach the new one. Some Westinghouse were slide in and had a side locking bolt running into adjacent cabinets

Unplug the range.
Remove the oven racks.
Remove 2 screws holding the element to the back wall.
Slide the element towards you carefully. Remove the wires and install them on the new element.
Reattach the element to the back wall.

Broan allure fan and light

Check that you have not accidentaly switched the wall socket off in the cupboard above the rangehood. The slide switch could also be faulty.
