The end of the hose connected to the washer is internal and held in place with a retaining clip. A Technician would have to remove the rear panel and an access cover to reach the unit. Do not attempt to do this yourself, it will void your warranty. LG hoses are designed for a maximum height of 96" and are not designed for extension. if the unit is too far away from a drain source, you will need to locate the unit closer, or extend the drain to the units location.

I just purchased an LG Front Load washer (Model WM2140CW). Best buy installed it. When I went to use it today, the floor flooded. Water was gushing out of the drain pipe (backing up). The LG drain hose...

You may have a drain line restriction causing it to back up. Pull the drain hose up about 6 inches and try it again. If it does overflow again, you will need to call a plumber to clear the drain line out in your plumbing.

My lg washer and dryer wm3431hs isn't draining. I took of the hoses in the back, cleaned the filters and still nothing please help!

If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Hope this helps...

Drain hose too short

in these cases we use a secound hand drain hose from an old washer using a rubber extender (purchase from washer repair / parts supply store) that goes over the ends of both hoses therefore extending the hose

LG Top Loader Fuzzy Logic 5.5. The water

No you just need to get the drain hose up higher...the water is siphoning out and is either caused by the end of the drain hose still in water and not having an air gap or the hose is not going up higher then the top of your washer...
Lifting the hose up should give you an air gap and get the hose high enough to stop the siphoning...

My whirlpool washer never fills with water. It goes directly to the drain.

Make sure the end of the drain hose is higher than the expected water level in the tub--otherwise it just runs through. Extend the drain pipe up to the hose end height and tie the hose to the pipe so that the rushing water from the pump doesn't force the end out of the drain.

I just moved and I cant find the drain hose or where to connect it to the washer. I'm willing to go buy a new hose but need to know where it fits. Also, the dryer has worked great over the last 2-yrs;...

The drain hose goes on the back of the waher down at the bottom by the pump. On your dryer if if it is electric your heating element needs to be checked to see if it is coming on

Waher will fill with water and then drain it out

Your drain hose is too low or there is no air gap at the drain outlet where the drain hose enters the wall.

Waher fills up and empties at the same time

you definalty have a drain hose issue, id bet that either your drain hose is lower the nte hunit itself or even connected to and outside drain sorce with out any "air gap/brake" i the drain line.. your creating a siphon action, you drain line should drain into a stand pipe no lower the n the back of the units console

Water hose extender

depending on how far you need to extend the hose, you have to be careful not to extend it too far, or else it may not pump out properly or may even siphon the water out of you machine. I would suggest calling or going to your local appliance parts distibutor and asking them if there is a special hose for extending the drain hose. Make sure you take your model and serial number with you or have it handy if you call. You may be able to use a normal type of hose , but they ussually kink or collasps on the inside . Either way a quick check with the parts distibutor might save you alot of trouble.

LG Dishwasher - drain hose replacement

Hello, I have just installed a similar model, and took the side panel off to see how it was put together ;)

The drain hose goes in the back of the dishwasher, then loops up the right side (as you are looking at the front)(this is to act as a "trap" to keep sewer gases from coming back into your washer, I assume), and then connects to the drain pump under the washer.

In order the change the hose, you will need to remove the left side panel, and the bottom panel, and this will give you access to the entire hose....

Hope this helps!
