I would say the amplifier has become faulty.

It might be possible to either repair the capacitors or install a replacement amplifier

Thumbs up>>>

Yeah that probably is the main amplifier that has gone you may want to get a new pair of speakers sorry.

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
hope this helps

The internal speakers aren't loud enough for listening to movies.

This is somewhat common with laptop computers as the speakers are tiny and if there is much background noise, the sound is not loud enough to hear properly. I would recommend that you pick up a $10 pair of ear buds that you can plug in and put in your ears to hear the sound. These can be purchased at your local Walmart store.

Hi, my phone works OK, but I cannot get any sound thorugh the small ear speaker, but if it I put it on Loudspeaker it works fine, any ideas? Thanks

hi dave

the problem could be 1 of 2 things

either the ear speaker is faulty, or your system connector is shorting out

does it come up, as if there is a headset plugged in??

so, first of all , at the bottom of the phone, where u plug in the headset, is there any green or discolouration?? on the gold pins

No speaker sound

There sometimes are three connectors on a sound card that are similar. A speaker output, microphone input, and stereo headphone output.

Try all three, if you accidentally put it on the microphone input you won't get sound output of that one, so try another.

Also, check in the speaker control panel for the sound to be checked to mute or volume turned all the way down.

No sound from speakers

insert the ear/head phone in backpanel sound pin (Green color),

1.if You can hear the sound in ear/Head phone, then the problem is in the speaker.replace the speakers

2.if You can't hear the sound in ear/Head phone, then the problem is in your system audio driver. So Down load the audio driver which is suitable for your system and install it.

File transfer from dead pc to another pc ?

It doesn't sound "kaput" it sounds like there's a graphics card issue or something. If you're just worried about the files you could take the hard drive out of the "kaput" computer and install it into the new pc. Just make sure to set it as a slave (not master) on the jumper ports on the back, or it'll fight to become the dominant hard drive to boot off of.

You might want to get a second opinion on that old pc (depending on who told you in the first place). If everything sounds normal, it's just not responding it could be anything really. It could be as simple as getting a new graphics card. =\

In any case the hard drive should still be fine. If you don't like the idea of taking apart your new pc, you could install the hard drive in another old pc (a friends or whatever) and take the files you want from there, put them on a removable device or burn them to a CD, then put them on your new computer.

Hope this helped!

No sound

I've had my speakers for about a year now and all of a sudden they just stopped playing music/sound. I can still hear that 'fuzz' if I put either speaker up to my ear. Everything lights up properly but nothing is being played.
