It varies from keyboard to keyboard. However in my experience, I find that unless there is a very obvious switch on the bottom of the keyboard, it's perfectly fine to just take out the batteries and put the new ones in. I do however recommend putting in the new batteries within 4 hours of taking out the old ones.

How do I replace the battery

Take the back panel out, find your battery and switch it out. Make sure to put the other battery in the correct way and put the back panel back on.

This should work on any phone except an iPhone, as they don't have removable batteries.

On my 4 year old son's John Deere gator prediger riding toy when you put battery in it goes before you push the accelerator?

it sounds like the foot switch is wired backwards or if the switch was put in backwards. I would take out the foot pedal and check the switch and make sure that is wired correctly.

I just bought a Polaroid 300 and the low battery lights keep blinking, I've put 3 sets of new batteries in it and the lights still blink. Anything else I can do?

Always be sure the batteries are charged.
Insert the batteries correct plus to plus and minus to minus. Only one battery the wrong way around and the camera won't work. Check contacts of the batteries and in the battery compartment of your camera. Dirty or oxidised contacts can be cleaned with a dry cloth. Never use sharp tools to clean contacts or anything in or on your camera.
Always charge the batteries before using it for the first time, or if you have not used it for a long period. 3 months is a very long period.
Also check if the battery door is closed correct. Most cameras do have a switch connected to the battery door. If the switch does not work correct, it could be you can't switch on your camera.
Do not use alkaline batteries unless it is absolutely necessary. In most cases, alkaline batteries have a shorter service life than NiMH. Alkaline battery performance is limited, especially at low temperatures. The use of NiMH batteries is recommended.
Never use manganese (Zinc-Carbon) batteries in your camera. They can't deliver enough power and can start leaking, causing damage to your camera.

Wont turn on

If you think this has to do with the battery power, you also should check the contacts in the battery compartment. If the are not shiny, you can try to clean them with a dry cloth or a cotton swap. Don't use sharp tools in or close by a camera.
Make sure the battery is inserted correct and the battery cover should be locked correct.
If the camera was not used for a long time, perhaps some contacts are oxidised. Those contacts you can switch, try to switch them several times. Open and close the battery door several times. Press the on of button several times. Put the battery in and remove it several times. And hope the contacts will work again.

Canon Powershot A710 IS dont want to turn on. I change the batteries but nothing happens. Yesterday everything was normal. Any ideas?

When this happened after you charged the battery, a few things can be wrong. The worst that could happen, is the battery did not survive the charging session. Other things:
You managed to put the battery in, but the wrong side around. Almost impossible, but I don't know how strong you are.
There is a bit of dust in the battery compartment. Just a little piece of paper can be enough to block the current.
The battery door / cover, is not closed correct. Every battery cover has a switch that is needed to inform the camera that the cover is locked. When the switch does not work, the camera won't switch on.
So my advice: remove the battery, Look if all contacts are clean and shiny. On the battery and in the camera. Check if the battery is really charged, by placing it again on the charger.
After reinserting the battery, check is the battery cover is closed correct.

My pointer won't move after I put new batteries in my touch pad

Check your batteries are the correct way round and that they are working batteries. You occassionally get a dud battery.

If all that is OK try resetting the computer - switch off at mains and leave for a few minutes before switching back on.

Phone doesn't switch on

This shouldn't normally cause a problem.
Make sure the cover is setaed correctly. It may have switch that checks the cover is back on.
Else take the battery out and put it back, ensuring correct poalrity. The battery contacts must line up with the pins on the other side..normally you can't put battery in the worng way. Let nme know the result.
