installed canon mp250 but the scanner wasn't installed with it

You need to install the driver and other software. If you don't have the cd, here is the website to download the files.

The important files to download and install are the Driver file MP250 series... and the Software file MP navigator...

Go to the Canon website and download the latest install wizard, for free. I usually down load to a folder and then run that install program, from that location.

You may be able to download the software to install your MP250: (select your operating system in the drop-down box mid-way down the page).

Start with the "Driver" file and see if you can install your printer. You may wish to download other Canon software titles or the manual as necessary.
