Ai turn the computer on and nothing comes on the monitor. it was working ok last night , then we had a windows update and the computer shut down. Monitir works fine i checked it on another computer.

Try starting in safe mode, when you turn on the pc keep pressing f8 till you get a menu up use the arow keys to highlight safe mode then press enter, see if you can boot up into windows that way. Reply here if you can

I set my computer to power save mode last night by changing the setting so the monitor would turn off after 5 hours. Now I can't get it to come back on. I've tried moving the mouse, turning the monitor...


hold the power button down for 5 secounds, then turn back on . if you can get the bios load up page try pressing f12 or f8 constantly untill u get a menu to boot computer in safe mode and try tunring this power saving off and restart.

Monitor worked last night, now its black. if i turn off the monitor and then back on the screen comes ip for 2 seconds and then goes to black. Do i need to replace my monitor? my vidio card? or my...


Reboot into safe mode, go to the control panel > device manager (in xp the device manager is in the system folder) scroll down to display adapters, try to roll back the driver....the driver may have updated last night and the new driver is not compatible. After to roll back the driver, reboot the machine and see if it updates to another driver that is stable.

Try taking on the back of the monitor and pulling the power plug all the way out of it for about five minutes and then plug it back in and restart the computer see if it solved it thanks

Computer will not shut down


right click your desktop go down to properties and click on it. then go to the screen saver tab and select power. then set the times there and hit APPLY then Hit ok.

Nothing will display in my monitor


i had this problem once, and as it turned out my RAM was damaged, I had to get it replaced. So check your RAM if it is working properly. If you have two RAMs and even if only one of them is malfunctioning, then too the problem will occur.

Hi!
A simple test is to connect another working monitor, to figure out if the problem is at cable connection or at graphics card 's output, and replace properly.

Similar monitor, similar problem. I actually had to dismantle the thing and replace a transistor on the mainboard.
