My problem is that dust is shooting out of my powerforce bagless bissell. I pulled and detached the filters, hitting them againt my front steps which is cement, burshing my hand across the filter . Yes there was dust coming from it there. I continued to do this until no more dust is coming from it. When I cut it back on I'm still seeing dust depris coming from the vac.

It could be a clog somewhere, a air leak somewhere and/or clogged filters. Cleaning filters does not necessarily mean they are not clogged. They should still be replaced quite frequently.

SOURCE: belt on this vacuum

Take off the bottom plate covering the brush roll, take out the brush roll, check it to make sure the ends turn freely, the belt goes around the end of the brush roll, then stretch it to go over the motor shaft.

SOURCE: Bissell won't start

no reset (self resetting motor) Pull the plu,g leave it off for a day, plug it in a try it again tomorrow. If it doesn't work, the motor is gone

You also need to make sur ethat you get the vacuum back together correctly, some vacums put a swithc in there so that you can't hurt yourself while performing this repair

You just have to twist hard the first time for some reason. If you hold the container with your right hand you actually have to twist the bottom half CLOCKWISE when viewed from above.

The sweeper doesn't have proper suction

Make sure all filters are clean and then check for obstructions begining at the nozzle (floor head) and follow the chamber all the way to the dust bin. Most bagless models have a dense foam filter just under the top.

Bissell powerforce bagless upright vacuum 6582

Check your filter. Sounds like it is not receiving enough suction to pull up the debris. If your filters are clean and there are no clogs, disconnect hose from back by the tank and see if you have suction straight out of the whole.

Bissell Powerforce Bagless Vacuum

Either your hose is plugged, or the inlet by the brush roll is plugged. Another problem that can cause this is the the filters are clogged or may just need to be replaced. Most of these has a filter in the dust catch bucket, and also above the bucket. Make sure all filters are clean.
