Take a coat hanger and straightn it the best you can then make a small hook on one end of it and if you can unhook one end of the hose straightn the hose and try to go fishing with the coat hanger.

Remove the hose from the vacuum cleaner and push a broom handle all the way through the hose. If its in there, that will remove it.

The vacuum cleaner probably is clogged. Look especially in the opening behind the roller and follow the path to the bag/container. If you have a pet that sheds, you can clog a vacuum quickly

I have a nv30 infinity vacuum. The handle is clogged with a sock right where the flexible hose begins. I cannot reach the sock even after removing the telescoping tube. How can I unclog the handle?

Hi Jackie ma268...
You need a metal coat hanger nd a pair of pliers.
You will straighten out the coat hanger with a pair of pliers, except the end that you hang the clothes hanger up with, because it has got the hook already made..
After you have gotten the hanger straight, you will take the hook of the hanger and make a smaller hook that will slide easy into your hose with the hook being able to catch the sock ...once it has caught the sock, then twist it a few times so that it will get caught up in the sock really well...then pull the sock out of the hose...Job done.
Please take time to rate me

I just vacuumed up a sock and my vacuum stopped working

The sock could have caught in the roller area and / or plugged the suction hose. most likely you will need to gain access to the roller area to loacte the sock. good luck!

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best thing to do is to see if you can open the power mate or powerhead, the sock is jammed in there and blocking the path of the dust and dirt. There should be some screws on the bottom to release the bottom plate or the top cover will come off, it would be one or the other it probably is stick in the gooseneck the swivel neck portion of the vacuum and or the wands or hose. If you need further help look in the owner’s manual or contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or call Sears cust serv listed below. If you need an owner’s manual Sears or your manufacturer will provide one for you if you give them the brand name and model #. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Small rubber ball got sucked up and is caught in the handle or hose. How can I take it part to remove the object?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. in some cases the Electrolux handle will come apart but id not then I use a couple of methods, if you have another canister vacuum or shop vac then turn on the Electrolux and the other canister vacuum and try to pull the ball out one way or the other. Or you can use a wire coat hander and create a little hook on the end and insert it into the handle portion of the vacuum to see if you can pull out the ball or loosen it so that it will roll out. One other choice that id you have a long small broom handle the length of the hose or longer and then you can push the ball out but the handle has to be smaller than the size of the inside of the hose and also be VERY CAREFUL… because it is an electric hose and it is very expensive so if you cannot remove the small ball bring it to a local vacuum cleaner dealer or the absolute last resort is to replace the hose, but most clogs can be removed. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

I have a sock stuck in the hose of my vacuum cleaner. Rennaisance canister model. Because of the design of the handle I can't utilize the reverse blower. Please advise. Thanks

lol

Try taping a fishing hook or some such onto the end of a straightened out coat hanger. See if you can push it up the hose and hook the sock.

Or, remove the hose entirely, and push a broom handle down the hose.

That's all I got...
