Norton installation my desktop computer is starting to freeze up once in a while. this is my first time buying and installing this thru the internet..right? Can i do this?

To remove a virus,trojan,worm,etc from your computer...do it the EASY way...let someone else do it for you.
Start your computer, as the computer is starting keep tapping the F8 Key.
This will start the computer in the Safe Mode.
Once in the safe mode go to the following webage below and download,install, and run Microsoft Safety Scanner for FREE.
Once you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner (it may take quite a while depending on the size of your hard drive) it will remove all the virus's,trojans,worms,etc it finds, if it does not completely remove them all you will be given a chance to chat with a Microsoft Professional thru a pop open window and he will take control of your computer (with your permission) and finish removing all the rest of the virus's, trojans, or worms that are on your computer for FREE!! There are many reasons for the issue.
Please check if the computer's date and time is running correctly, if not please adjust it and run a live update.

If that does not work, please download Norton intelligent updater from www.norton.com/iu and click on download definitions. Please select the first file if your computer is a 32 bit operating system or select the 4th file. Save it to your desktop. Once the download is complete, double click the downloaded file. It will update your Virus definitions.
If that also doesn't work, you need to reinstall the Norton program on your computer.
To reinstall, follow these steps:
>> download the latest version of the Norton program from the link www.norton.com/nis11
>> save the file to your desktop
>> Once the download is complete, double click the downloaded icon
>> it will remove the existing version while re-installing
>> Once the removal of the older version is complete, you will need to restart the computer
>> after the restart, please click on the downloaded file once more if it does not come up automatically
>> install the Norton program
>> activate the program with the product key
>> your issue will be fixed

Try opening the sides of the computer and running the computer, If it still freezes, look inside and see if any of the fans turn off at any time, if that Happens try pushing it to make it go, if that doesnt solve it, try replacing the fan. Buy the fan at TigerDirect.com

once the uninstallation compleates the You need to restart the computer and reinstall the Norton 360 on the computer.
Follow the Instructiions to Reinstall Norton 360 2.0
1.Do one of the following:

Note:-If you have downloaded the product, double-click the installation file. Unless you saved it elsewhere, the installation file is on the Windows desktop.

2.Read the License Agreement, and then click I Agree.
If you do not click I Agree, you cannot continue the installation.
3.Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once the Installation is compleate you need to Enter you Activation key and it will automatic Activate it, after the Activation you need to run Live updates to Update Norton 360.

You can do the same on Both PCs.This will resolve your Issue.

Generally, if Norton is installed once & uninstalled. It won't allow you to install again. Simple solution is to get the Norton Complete Remover from Norton website available as a free program to tackle these type of situation.

After you run the complete uninstaller, you can once again install norton your system.

Yes you need to uninstall any and all antivirus programs installed on your computer. After uninstalling, make sure to reboot your computer. Do that for each antivirus or internet security software you have installed. Once done, it Norton 360 should install. If you have troubles uninstalling AVG, check their support area on their website. I'm not sure if you have a paid version or the free version but here are the sites for both.

Hi, if you want to install new norton anti virus you may delete all existing norton anti virus in the present pc and then install new norton so that no conflict your installation.
