I have a BLAUPUNKT CC 866 it will not move the tape along as if it is not catching on the sprocket. Motor is making a noise trying to work. Would take it to repair but can't find a repair man.

I think you should perform a simple yet moving ceremony, thank your old friend for many years of valiant service, retire him and purchase a replacement. Camcorder technology has moved on since he came onto the planet to observe and record your memories.

Fuel oil mix,16 or 32

32:1 should be it. It is better to try this and if it runs VERY smokey and fouls the plug it may be 40:1.

Went to start my XL500 homelite chainsaw and the rope won't pull out.It worked fine when I ran it dry for storage, now it seems like th sprocket won't turn. looks like chain oil is comming out

If it is bar oil then the gasket is leaking between the oil tank and the crankcase, this would mean a full strip down and replace the gasket.

Bought a Homelite 14" electric chainsaw. After

I am not sure if you have figured out how to put the chain back on your saw or not, but it doesn't take long.
1. Remove the plastic yellow "T" shaped nut on the right side of the saw (towards the front of the motor housing)
2. Remove the black plastic housing that covers the rear section of the bar and chain
3. Place the chain back onto the bar making sure it is facing the correct direction.
4. Place the chain over the rear sprocket area
5. Turn the +/- yellow plastic knob (towards the back of the saw on the right side) in the - direction until the metal guide inside the plastic casing lines up with the hole in the chainsaw bar
6. Replace the black plastic housing and slightly tighten the yellow "T" shaped nut.
7. Now turn the +/- knob until the chain is tight. Once the chain is tight, turn the "T" nut until it is tight and you are ready to cut again.

Would a 20 year old homelite vacume hose collaps

If you are speaking of the carburetor connector or carburetor boot that is just below the carb. It does not collapse it becomes rotten and full of holes. This is a very common problem of the 350 and 360 saws. The PN for some if not all is 12048C. You can just google the PN and a lot of suppliers will come up with many showing photo.
