Question about Televison & Video
It is remote control handset trouble. Cleaning it will solve the problem. To do cleaning, you have to open it, by anyway. Normally remote controls are two part slip type covers, which can be seperated by using any sharp instrument like a screwdriver or a knife, pressing it on the slits of the two joints at the side of the remote control. Inside it you can see a circuit board, with three or four compontens, including an IC. Clean the cirtuit board where the touch pads comes in contacts. Use only mild solvents lide rectified spirit of medical quality turpentine. Never use petrol or such strong solvents, as it will damage the rubber parts of the touch pad. allow some time to dry the solvents out from the board, and reset the remote as it was. This process will solve your remote control problem. During long time of use, the rubber parts inside the touch pad will get powdered and will stick to the touch contacts, and this is the fault in most remote controls. OK.

Jeff Phillips What I did was connec the soundbar audio directly to the Verizon STB audio out and changed the remote to control the STB volume instead of the TV. Then I plugged the soundbar into the switched outlet on the back of the verizon STB.
