Question about Poulan P3314 14" Gas Chain Saw 2.0 Cuin 33CC 2 Cycl

I need to totally tear my saw engine down d rebuild. I think it spun a bearing or broke a rod. Is there a tear down manual for a novice like me?

which engine? size?
the ECU nor any lamp can save the engine with no oil or too low
or never changed out.
you missed, week level checks.
and if levels drop fast (as it will driving real fast)
you check more often, in fact you learn what your engine needs.
my guess is loss of oil pressure,
the idiot lamp( just name) comes on with its TOO LATE..
on most cars made.
get a real gauge called oil pressure.
or the engine overheated
or just bad luck.
what seized, cam , crank or rod bearings.
the machinist will tell you for sure what failed.
the pump or low levels.
push rod engines. the rear rod bearings like to fail first (low oil)
then on overhead cams, they bite dust first. (top end oiling can fail easy)
also, on the last rebuild did (no 2 before) the PO, ran water for antifreeze this cause the internal freeze plugs to pop and
water in oil and rear rod spun(seized)
water makes really poor oil substitute.
when you take it down there are tons of clues.
blue metal.
oil looks like chocolate milk shack
bearings spun ,cam bearings gone.
cracks in block and head.
ever inch checked then pressure tested before rebuild.

Spun bearing

You are up for an engine rebuild. Remove the engine and turn up side down in a stand. Remove the sump and find the failed bearing by taking off the big end caps. If you find a con rod damaged you will have to remove the head and that piston and replace the con rod. If it is a main bearing that has spun you should only have to replace the crank shaft and fit new bearing shells Either way you will need another crank shaft. Check the price of a low mileage engine from a wrecker as it will be quicker and possible cheaper in the long run

Was driving on highway when check gauges light came on on the oil pressure gauge bottomed out. got it pulled over and sat fora bit, put 2 quarts of oil, pressure came back up but my engine has a major know...

are you saying a major knock sound like from bottom of engine? yes if this is what your saying, then it sounds like you may have spun a rod bearing and if thats the case, this engine is already done and further driving will just tear up more stuff if you plan to rebuild engine.

My bikes engines one piston is not broke the connecting rod which damage the cylinder and the engine.what can i do of the broken connecting rod.

You would need to replace the rod $70 and needle bearing $30. Both appear to be avaiable at Babbitt's. A dealer would need to tear down the engine all the way then use a hydraulic press to press apart the crankshaft and then mount the new connecting rod and press the shaft back together. Dial gages must be used to get a correct centerline on the crank.

The total cost will likely be $1000 if a dealer does the repair from start to finish. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

you have a major engine problem you need a rebuild or replacement engine ! you may have spun a barring or rod mains are worn and could break your crankshaft!

How do i stop my rods from knocking

There is no cure for that other than taking out the engine and tearing it down and replacing the rod bearings. There is probably too much clearance between the bearings and the crank journals do to worn bearings.

Talk to an engine rebuild shop near you. They should be able to save your crank if it's not broken, and get you a set of bearings and piston or anything else you need. They'll be in the Yellow pages.

Spun conn. rod bearing 97 svt cobra. 116k miles, total rebuild

You would be Better off doing the Rebuild seeing as you will have it apart anyway. You would be Happier With it in the Long run!
