The game disc could be scratched or dirty, try removing the disc and cleaning the cd with a cloth (not your shirt) wipe the disc in circles and not from left to right or right to left, if the cd is clean and not scratched try inserting a different game in and see if the console can read that, if the console cannot read a different game, then there might be a problem with the disk drive and you will have to contact Nintendo to try and organise a replacement
