My LG Viewty Ku990 says insert USIM. When a sim card is inserted it says USIM LOCKED. In both the modes it won't go any further. I mean you cannot dial a number or access menu from there. all you can dial is emergency calls. So even if I get my phone lock code how will I enter it without the numeric keypad.Please help.

you will have to purchase the unlock code.  There are several website that do this and it is about 30 dollars.  Make sure you use a safe and secure website.

Debbie invalid usim means its been barred by the network, so whom ever the network provider is for the phone you will have to give them a call and ask them to un barr as you have just brought it. We brought on off ebay at christmas on orange as we're on orange and had the same problem. We called them and they took the barr off straight away, no charge. Jan

Is the phone unlocked, because if it is not, and you put a different USIM into the phone than what came with the phone, it will not work.

call your service provider (virgin) and ask them for the unlock code

* there could be a fee if you have not put $80 worth of credit through the phone cause that is what had to do
