Make sure the hose is not clogged with an obstruction and make sure there is no kink in the hose.

My vacum cleaner won't pick when attached to the parts or bottom

Hi, it's Allie from Crucial Vacuum.

It sounds like your unit may have a blockage. Checking your hose for any blockages is very easy. Remove the hose from both ends and check for blockages, any leftover debris or clog will not allow the unit to have suction.

Why is my Dirt Devil Vacuum Hose lacking suction?

I have a Dyson and was having a similar problem some time back. I found out these bagless systems still have a filter that picks up the fine dust to keep it contained. Find out where yours is located and beat the dust out of it really good or just replace it.
Hope this helps.

I received my dirt devil canister vacuum - vision pet for Christmas and have only used it several times. I am having trouble with it not suctioning very well. I have the max suctioning turned all the way...

Change out the bag. Check the internal air passages for blockage. Check air flow without the bag and pick--up hose in place--should be quite forceful. Attach the bag and try again. If ok, attach the hose and try again. At some point, you should find a large blockage of debris. Hope that helps!

Vacuum not picking up dirt

The neck in your power head is likely clogged. Disconnect from the wand and look inside. Also check the wand.Since you have suction on the bare floor the hose is likely not blocked.

Durt Devil upright 12 amp Vision Vacuum Cleaner

If there no blockages in the hoses, then the next thing to check would be any filters in the vacuum. When these get clogged, you will experience this problem.

No suction

I'm not sure what model you have, but the most common problems I've seen with these are that the hose gets clogged. Usually the hose is removable. If you can get it off, you may be able to push the clog out with slender rod or yardstick. If you are fortunate enough to have another vacuum with a hose, you can also **** or blow the clog out of the dirt devil hose with the other vacuum. Good Luck!!
