You need to have vin relearn with a tech 2 to reactivate the vin from your car to program on the radio, take it to the dealer and they will relearn it for you.

The HU you removed may have had a circuit to prevent turn-on/turn-off pop. The nav system may not have it.

I have an 07 yukon. The dvd player work s have sound but no video. The screen is solid white. Is there any ways to check the screen to make sure thats the problem

Hello pruett111,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

To answer your question: You issue is with the video processor being dead on this unit, or the fact that the link (wiring) from the video display board to the screen has been broken (connector is loose or broken).
You should be able to take this vehicle to a local Car Audio installation store or Best Buy and have them open up this display to check for loose or bad wiring. If they don't find fault with the wiring, then they can give you a quote on a replacement DVD Navagation system. If you desire to replace the system to gain the DVD features back.

Have a great day!

Installed Meos mc701b with navme 120gps nav system. All fine except that the sound on nav instructions is very low and see no means of resetting it. Any solutions? Seems a common problem

This is simple - go to the NAVI screen itself via the menu - turn the volume up using the volume up key.
Return to the radio and now hold down the menu key - you will go back to the sat nav screen with the radio playing in the background - when you now get voice prompts they will be louder than before!

I put a DVD in the car (Toyota) DVD player and it then spits out I have tried various DVDs? Tried the reset button as well!

check the unit supports DVD-VIDEO (it might be a NAV controller - DVD-ROM). other possibilities could be worn laser pickup, needs clean. dont waste your money getting one of those lens cleaner discs - the unit needs to be able to play the disc in the first place and the majority of lens cleaners brushes are too short anyway - have the radio removed and cleaned by a professional before you take the next step..

Hi. I have a problem with a new Kenwood DNX6140; specifically the Voice Guidance on the Garmin Navigation. I need to adjust the volume. I can do it on all the other features of this device; DVD, CD, XM,...

CLICK HERE for your owners manual

Page 67 describes adjusting the NAV volume.
Under AV interface - NAV VOICE VOLUME - make your adjustment - it will remember the preset every time.

To get there - see page 66....
Touch AV Interface from the SETUP MENU screen (page 60)

You are looking for option 13. NAV VOICE VOLUME.

Thanks for using FixYa - please ACCEPT this answer to remove it from the work Queue.

Use "Continue With this Expert" option if you have additional questions.

Thanks :D

Remote starter installation - disabled Bose car radio

It could be the stereo has an anti-theft lock-out that requires a code to be put in after the battery is disconnected. Your manual should have the code and instructions on how to enter it, or the dealer can do it.
Hope this helps.
