Download the driver here at asus:

http://support.asus.com/

Select support.
Use the auto navigation wizard
and select the windows you are running.
This will direct you to the download site for your product.
Select the bios version, and press global, and enter chapta.
You maybe need an upgrade utility like the asus bios update tool.
The files you download, needs to be unziped when downloaded.

The site is down today, so you have to try again later.

Hope this was helpfull.

BIOS on a motherboard doesn't regulate the capable size of a hard drive that is supported

depending on the mode that you format your hard drive determins the capacity of the hard drive

fat32 can only support up to 4gb individual file sizes and maximum disk drive size of 127.5gb
NTFS doesn't have these limits, i recommend you format your drive in NTFS as it is the newest supported drive partition type.

also remember if you buy a 200gb drive it will actually be about 180gb because manufacters claim that 1000mb is 1gb where it really is 1024mb is 1gb so you will "lose" some capacity when you actually install the drive.

Sir, Im having P4BP-MX Motherboard 2GB DDR 40 GB HDD, CAN I GO FOR 1TB HDD for my Motherboard. I bought 1TB its not identifying Is my P4BP-MX Motherboard support 1TB or Not ?

There's two things wrong:

1. You can't simply install a hard drive and then use it. You have to format it and/or install an operating system on it.

2. Your motherboard is a very old model. While it is new enough to support LBA48 mode (which is necessary to fully use hard drives above 127 GB), it is possible that it has an old BIOS version that does not support it. You should check ASUS' website to download and install the latest BIOS update.

Hi.
Xp will not detect the sata hdd you have to install the sata driver before the installation begins by pressing the F6 key or you can disable the SATA native support in the BIOS to install Xp.

Installing 750GB SATA on Asus A8N-E Mobo

Hello there.

I would not update the BIOS unless you are experiencing any problems. Try installing the new hardware first and then if you do experience problems, think about upgrading the BIOS. The latest version is 1013 FYI.

The new hardware should be supported without a BIOS update, as long as you have Service Pack 2 in Windows XP or above then all your 750GB will be shown. As for the memory you should see it list the new size in the POST screen before Windows even loads, or inside Windows.

If you do have problems, then please post back and we can help.

Hope this helps.

ASUS P4S533 mother board not supporting full 160 gb

This is happing becuase of your motherboards BIOS !
Really, this happened to me too. You see, our motherboards which are very old cant support above 80 and so on. This is beacuse of the BIOS. You will need to update your BIOS inorder to give new features.

Try go to the Asus home page and download the latest driver for your motherboard. Then install it in your motherboard's BIOS. There is intructions for this in the Asus's home page.

It doesn't turn on.

Here is the manual for it http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock370/815ep/cusl2-c/cusl2c-104.pdf Usually the light should stay on when its on and off when off, typically if it flashes, the powersupply itself is shutting off and coming back on. I would replace it first and go from there becaquse these LED's dont have a flash feature for this mobo.
