Hi,

Open the case , there you should see a switch . Tie it with a cello tape so that it is in pressed state. This will stop the error.

Thanks

The question is quite vague, but since it is posted in the motherboards category I am going to assume you are talking about either a desktop computer or a server. I will start off with a general warning and then elaborate. You need to close the chassis, this is vital to maintain proper airflow through the system and cool the components. At any rate, there may be an option in your system bios to disable this warning. There may also be a switch in your case that gets pressed down when the cover is put on, you could possibly use tape to fool the computer into thinking the case is on. Take the switch and test it with a multimeter set to ohms. Find out if it is working, find out if the two leads are open or shorted when the switch is pressed down. If they are open, you could simply unplug/remove the switch. If they are shorted, you could simply bypass the switch by cutting the wires and splicing them together. If you do not have a switch on your chassis at all, refer to your motherboard's documentation to determine which two pins to short on the board to fool it into thinking the cover is on.

Open chassis warning fixed by SteveS1013

You have to disable the chassis intrusion alarm by going into the BIOS as the machine first starts up, either by pressing Esc or Del, in the BIOS you can then disable the alarm.
