    I have uninstalled and reinstalled chrome about 4 times. Still not loading when I click on the icon. I think (I really don't know for sure) it may have something to do with mcafee. I wish I could disable it, but I cannot find how to do it. I click on all the mcafee icons I can find and no where does it say disable.

ERR_NO_SUPPORTED_PROXIES error message with "This webpage is not available" notification. Please help. I downloaded Google Chrome and then received the above error message when I tried to open the desktop...

Hello Nigel,
Try to set the proxy in the browser.
Open Google chrome >>To the right of the address bar at the end is a wrench type icon click on it >>Almost at the bottom of the list it says options click it >> click on the tab that says "under the hood" >> next click the button that Change proxy settings >> in the next box that pops up click on "never dial a connection" >> next click on the LAN button >> next ensure that all check boxes are clear, with no check marks in them click OK >> then click OK again that should bring you back to the Google chrome options box >> click close
Then close out chrome now wait about 10 to 15 seconds to allow for chrome to recognize the new settings >> Reopen chrome and you should be able to use it just fine.
I hope this solution will helpful for you.

Error 106

Click start control panel administrative tools computer management then select event viewer this may vary depending on what operating system you have
extend the events there you will see errors in red you will no what exactly what the error was and at what time it occured
Right click on the error message select properties you will see all details about the error
or click start type in event viewer press ENTER
you might be able work your way through the problem

Chrome is unlikely to be the issue.
Odds are something is blocking it.
Spyware Doctor (PcTools) is know to block Chrome.
Do you have that loaded or something similar? Norton is also known to block it.
So does Kaspersky Internet Security.

Start by checking your other programs.
Reload Chrome.
Disable your malware software see if Chrome works then.
If it does not, the I hate to say it, but also briefly disable your anti-virus software see if Chrome works then.

If either of those programs are the issue, see if there are upgrades or do a search regard that specific program and Chrome.
You may end up having to change to a different security program that plays nice with Chrome.

I have errors that tell me to close subjects on my browser. How do I open my browser and close these things?

Hi jg, I not sure I understand your question, but will try to help. If Chrome is not open and you are getting an error message from another program that is telling you to close something in Chrome, open your Task Manager (right click on the task bar at the bottom of the screen, select Task Manager) look in the processes on the left and see if you see any Chrome processes that are still running, if you find anything that says Chrome, right click on it and kill the process, repeat this for ever chrome process that in running. If this does not help, or I misunderstood your question, leave a comment with more detail about the error messages and where they are being generated.

check your hard drive space or capacity
by right click on the C: drive and going to properties to see if you have enough space to load additional data.
Delete or uninstall any program or data the you don't need and clear your cookie and temp folders in the browser
There is a program that you can download for free that will do this for you if you are not comfortable go to the my computer icon.

SearchSource=10&ctid=CT2269050 Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error. wat to do????

Webpage display issues: "This webpage is not available" (Network errors 2, 102, 104, and 105) Issue This message displays when Google Chrome is unable to find and load the requested web page.
Solutions Check your web address and Internet connection Double-check the URL in the address bar to make sure you're going to the right web address. If you've confirmed that you're going to the right web address, check whether you can open the same web page in another browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. If you can't see the web page in any browser, the web page may be temporarily down. You should also make sure you're properly connected to the Internet.
Check the error you're receiving If you can load the web page using another browser, but not Google Chrome, check the exact error you're getting by clicking the More information on this error link on the page. The rest of the solutions listed in this article are relevant if you're experiencing any of the following errors:
  • Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error
  • Error 104 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED)
  • Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED)
  • Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED):
  • Unknown error
To disable the proxy run this from the command line or modify your shortcut to run chrome:

"C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --proxy-server
See here: http://tiny.cc/A2tST

Encountering this problem following your first restart after installing Privoxy (which requires changing G-Chrome's proxy settings).
If, after installing Privoxy, you elected not to have it load on system startup, manually re-loaded Privoxy. Simply reconfigure Privoxy to load on startup and the problem should be corrected.

Internet explorer 8

Hello: here is my advice : Just go to www.microsoft.com and download internet explorer again and install it , then reboot your system . I'm sure that this will solve the problem . any way , why don't you try other internet communication softwares like ( firefox or google chrome) those both are great also . I advice you to have more than one internet communication software . I already have three just in case if one of them is corrupted . I have ( Internet explorer and firefox and google chrome ) . just try the idea and you'll be satisfied with the result .

If that didn't help then try to check system for errors . such as registry errors .
good luck .

rate if useful please !
