Has knocking noise in front end when the car is rolling does not make noise when setting still with the motor running

If the noise is more pronounced when turning a corner than in a straight line it is most likely one of the CV joints - probably the outer ones. If the noise is in a straight line check the inner CV's, that is their signature tune.

Maxtor external hard drive fell on floor (maybe a foot high) now its making beeping noises and computer doesnt see it

yeakis..!!..
itz probably not normal anymore..it do happen while boot up or when hdd gets power..hdd consists of one or more solid n heavy platter(s) like gramophone media/disk in miniature, which is spinning at more than 7200+ rpm just on a single pivot which is thick just around a dot pen's nib..there is one lens each on both side of the platter of abt 1mm probably..and the whole assembly do function somewhat alike gramophone....
nw u cn understand how highly balanced they r..due to time, illegal shut down, moving/shacking/thud/shock to the hdd while in activity, may cause damage to it..and the first n common symptom is either no activity or 'ticking' noise (like 'tuk tuk' or 'kirr kirr')..!!
do claim warranty..report as hdd dead..don't tell itz physically damaged..
try contacting ur system admin/vendor without delay....

When I plug in my western digital TB, computer wont recognize it anymore, it is a macbook,

though very incomplete data abt ur system config..
however, u gotta know, is ur system compatible handling such..
some system needs the hdd controller driver or firmwire at the time of os install..(eg we press n select driver using F6 while in case of winXP*, in such case u need a floppy n floppy drive)..
bring ur ear closer to the hdd n make sure that it does not make any noise (like 'tuk tuk' or 'kirr kirr')..in such case itz probably gone bad n need to b replaced..
in some cases, if more than one hard disk r running, esp in case of PATA, look for jumper settings..(master/slave)..
in some cases, if more than one hard disk r running, esp in case of PATA+SATA, look for bios settings if is in native/compatible/enhanced mode, try fixing as necessary..
if ur nt a professional, contact ur system admin/vendor....

Deskstar 1TB SATA started making ''uncommon'' noises. Now I can't find or access any of the data on the drive. It starts making noise as soon as I put power to it(Heads crashing???)!

it seems ur hdd is old, while the pc is powered on, bring ur ear closer to the hdd n make sure that it does not make any noise (like 'tuk tuk' or 'kirr kirr')..in such case itz probably gone bad n need to b replaced..
