you may need to RESET the handset before getting them registered to the base station. this will ask for a reset code, just consult the user manual to get it.
if you have other issues just let me know

I have the manual and can scan or fax pages if you want. Contact me if you still need this at: firstname.lastname@example.org
My system just quit allowing me to listen to messages and all three batteries quit. I'll probably have to get a new phone system.
Let me know if you need handsets and cradles too, I have 3!

Unplug the unit again and press the intercom/find handset button while you re-connect the adaptor. Then dock the phone unit once again and it will re-register.

This should solve your problem:
1. On your phone select: Menu > System > Base Select
Select "Auto" and press "ok"
2. On your phone select: Menu > System > Register
(you might be prompted to enter a PIN if so the default is "0000" )
3. On the base station press and hold down the "Page" button for 4-5 secs until the green light starts to blink. At this point the phone should be now able to find the base station.
