If it's not draining you have to manually drain the washer by pulling the drain hose out. You can also pull the drain hose out of the drain pipe it drains into and lower it into a 5 gallon bucket to get most of the water out without such a mess.

Why does washer stop agitating after few minutes?

Check for something caught in the pump or under agitator.
Check that the belt underneath is free running.
This fault is usually associated with excessive current & the motor going out on the auto reset overload.
Could be motor trouble, starting capacitor (If fitted) or the timer.

Maytag mav6200 top load washer leaving an inch water in tub, disconnected the water pump to remove a small stuck piece of metal when it was squealing loud, replaced everything and now it leaves an inch of...

The piece of metal you removed came from around the pulley assembly on the pump? There is an updated drain pump that is for that model and should be replaced. The original pump was a bad design and fail quickly. Here is the new pump that I would replace it with and all will be good. It has a higher volume that it will pump out. The reason the current pump is leaving water is that the timer is finishing it cycle before the pump is able to remove all the water.

Please let me know if I could be of further assistance to you.

GE front load washer is not draining after spin cycle

The draining is controlled by drain pump in the washing machine. If the drain pump is clogged or got loose then water will not drain properly and this problems will occur.Remove the drain pump and drain hoses. First thing you can do is take the drain hose and blow into it and check if its getting blocked. If the air is passing through the hoses then loosen the hoses to the pump. You might want to get some pinch off pliers to save water from going ever where or a shop vac to **** out the tub. If the pump is getting warm current is flowing to it and propeller is jammed more than likely. The front should have a couple of 1/4 screws at the corners on the front should pop after removing them. If you require parts then you can buy them from www.repairclinic.com Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

I removed my pump because water would not drain. i plugged up and pump still does not move, but winding sound is present. Does the motor require a load to run? And does this mean the pump is bad?

Hi, water pump doesn't require load to run, check motor (coi)l with ohm meter (multi-tester), check for continuity, good job, removing pump and cleaning it, it's a commom problem with washing machine. it's possible your pump motor burnt out, two things you can do, to check pump, (1) two wires that you remove from pump motor, put volt meter, put power to machine, be careful, check for correct voltage, if voltage is present, and pump didn't work, then water pump motor, burnt out (2) remove water pump, make extension cord, plug directly to receptacle, if it's good, it will run, if it didn't run, replace it, good luck

KENMORE ELITE HE3T CODE F-02

F02 is long drain.
Just because it came up doesn't mean there's a problem, it simply means there was a failure during the cycle, if it returns on a regular basis, you have a problem.

F02 error could be caused by the over use of soap, you need to make sure your using 2 tablespoons of HE soap, 1/4 cap at the most.
Over sudsing, could cause the water pump to run longer, the pump is designed for 15 min duty cycle which means, 15 minutes on to 45 minutes off. The computer may sense too much soap, and continue to pump. HE soap will cure that, along with SUD error, possible F09 (overflow condition), you may also notice the timing is wrong, HE soap works well in these machines and F/l washer go hand in hand
if the F02 returns the remove the 3 torx screws from the bottom kick panel, and remove the kick panel, right there in the middle you will see a big round handle, turn it and then slide it out, have some towels ready, there will be some water in there, and check to see if you have any thing in there that will slow water flow, tooth picks and other "floating" items may jam the impeller.

Kenmore Elite Calypso won't drain

The most likely thing to cause the code and the leak is the water pump. If the shaft seal on the pump leaks, the water gets into the drain pump motor and shorts it out. The code is telling you there is a high current/amp draw at one of the motors.
You can see if the pump is leaking by tilting the machine back, removing the screws that hold the bottom to the front edge of the machine and looking at the pump. If the pump is leaking, you will need a new pump and possibly a new motor control board.
Post back if you need further instructions and we will walk through the repair.
