LG Model LFC23760

Where is the connection to the ice maker located? Should be on the back but there is nothing open and I don`t like to take too much apart.

I'm having the same problem, the user manual shows an exterior connection but there isn't one on my model. Called support...worthless. If I take off the white plastic panel on the back I see a connection fitting for a tube, but I'm not sure if that's what I should be connecting to or not....

    Yep...same problem here.,

I think "Made in Mexico" is a BIG part of the problem.

We build 'em...we don't know how to hook 'em up.

What a joke. No More LG products for us.

My icemaker stopped working but the water on the door still works what can the problem be model number 106.51552104

02fd7a9b-9a65-43a6-ae76-6bf68d211304.jpgThanks for the model number. If the ice slots inside the ice maker are empty try pouring tap water in and allow the water to freeze. If after the water freezes the ice drops into the ice bucket and the ice maker does not refill this would indicate that the side of the=> W10408179 Water Inlet Valve is defective on the side that controls ice maker water supply. If the ice maker just sits there and does nothing this would point to a defective ice maker. Depending what is wrong with the ice maker will determine what parts are replaced. Here is a list of those parts here=> Kenmore Refrigerator Model 106.51552104 Ice Maker Parts and if need you may be able to find a complete ice maker replacement by asking. Kenmore model 2537031 ice maker not working

I had a technician come to my house and he diagnosed the problem to be with the design of the ice maker. The ice maker on my unit is located in the refrigerator and the opening on the ice maker itself does not have a closed connection to the actual shoot where the ice is dispensed. This allows air to get up into the ice maker causing condesation that freezes within the ice maker itself and the fan stops working so no ice is made

The ice box on the ice dispenser appears to be clogged so ice cannot be dispensed on either setting (chunk or crushed). How does one remove the ice box front to look inside?

Hello there,
For you to be able to remove the ice maker from the refrigerator, you will have to get a screwdriver and a work glove, then you follow the steps below:
  1. Pull the LG refrigerator away from the wall and unplug the electrical cord.
  2. Shut off the water supply valve to the ice maker by twisting the knob clockwise. The valve is built into the metal or plastic tube that feeds water to the ice maker at the back of the appliance.
  3. Open the freezer door and remove the ice bucket below the ice maker. Set the bucket in the sink for the ice to melt.
  4. Lift the white plastic housing off the ice maker and set aside.
  5. Remove the screws that connect the ice maker assembly to the inside back of the freezer, using a screwdriver and work gloves to protect your hands.
  6. Push up on the ice maker from below to release the mechanism.
  7. Disconnect the wire plug that connects the ice maker to the back of the freezer and remove the entire assembly.
  8. When you are through with what ever you want to do with the ice maker.
  9. Reconnect the LG refrigerator power cord and slide the appliance back to its original position.

Hope this helped. All the best Elect_Comp

Kemore 795.77573600 with AEQ36756901 ice maker. I/M will not fill with water.

make sure the water is turned on at the valve .if h2o is on most likely the water solenoid located in the back . it's a electric valve when the ice maker call for water it opens. make sure the connections are good should only be two wires . the only thing left is the control module usually found in the maker itself

Ice Maker not filling with water to make ice

Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. It’s on the back where the water supply comes in. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Roaring sound

I have had the same issues. I have owned my LFX25960 for 18 months. All the cooling, noise, and condensation problems are related to 2 fans. One for the freezer/refrigerator compartments and One for the Ice Maker. The fans, apparently, are not sufficient to move enough air through the coils located behind a plastic panel in the freezer compartment. The part numbers for my fans are 1. Ice Maker 4681JB1029E and Refrig/Freezer 4681JK1004E. It is not impossible, but fairly difficult to replace them yourself. You have to remove the large slide out freezer drawer and glides. Then work the back freezer panel loose from the bottom. Be careful not to break it. It is plastic.
Routine maintenance: Pull the refrig out from the wall and blow-out the coils and fan located on the lower right rear. You might find it easier to do this by removing the cover on the lower, back of the refrig.

I have the sam eproblem...another site I went to said it is ice build up on the fan. Unplug the frig for an hour (don't open the doors or everything will spoil) and then plug may defrost a bit and allow the fan to turn freely.
