It is in shutdown/restarting mode which can be due to shorted circuits in the inverter circuits, logic board, or failed power supply due bad caps.
You will have to at least inspect the inside first.
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

17" flatron crt monitor only green led blinking and tick tick sound .No display

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Hi Desmondia,

Sorry but the bulb replacement is not a simple as it used to be....The screens on modern sound systems are made up of small crystals that glow when activated by electrical current of very small strength..
These are called LCD Liquid Crystal Displays, or could be very small chips like Light Emitting diodes arranged in an alphabet configuration. I dont know which one your particular amplifyer system has,,,
These dispalys are controlled by a fast scanning oscillator which up dates the screen dispay so fast that the screen display shows the information you need to see.
In fact the screen information is going on and off so fast you dont even know its happening .

Anyway to keep this story short the screen display in your case
appears to have stopped scanning..Its a major repair job...
needs to go to a reapair shop for a cost quote to fix for you.

Cheers From YUBEUT

Bulb illuminating lcd display panel failed

go to an electronics store. You need a 12 volt bulb that solders onto a small removable circuit board located directly behind the display.

Monitor will not power up

Hi tafkab, Sounds like it's probably the backlight inverter board. Try the test I have at the bottom to see. It's a very common problem. LCD's use four small Cold Compact Fluorescent bulbs to back light the display. (thats what gives the LCD it's brightness allowing you to see it) The inverter board runs these lights and when they go bad they will typically show symptoms like you have or the monitor power light comes on and you have either no display or a very dim display. If you ever have one that has no display but the power light is on you can check by shining a flashlight directly into the LCD from the front (right into the screen) if you can see an image then it's either the inverter board (most likely) or the CCFL bulbs have gone bad. The inverter board and CCFL's are replaceable. Good Luck, Dude
