Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
Ya sounds like the hard drive has died or there is a interface problem since you suffered from water damage. you may be able to get data off the hard drive by using a external hard drive connector but it may or may not work.

Base on the error you received the computer is attempting to boot from the network instead of the harddrive of the system. First boot into the BIOS utility and enter the boot menu and check to make sure that the Harddrive is set as the primary boot device. If the harddrive is not detected in BIOS try to reseat the Harddrive ( you can find the the step by step instruction in removing and reinstalling the harddrive at www.support.dell.com, click on the link for manuals at the left hand side of the screen then enter the service tag for the computer)
