I am not too sure about an ignition module. if the bike will not turn over or is a hit and miss i would check for a bad starter relay. usually under the battery if it is an electric start bike. really need more info. the relay will have one small wire and two larger wires. small wire activates solenoid and two big wire will run current from battery positive to the starter bendix. if the coil is bad it could over amp the 16 ga. wire and melt it.

The box is most likely the ignition module. You should be able to run a new wire to take care of the problem. Make sure the wire is the same gage. Check other wires for melting, you will need to replace them if you find any. This may be a reoccurring problem, if you have a short that is causing the wires to overheat. This will need to be tracked down and fixed, or running the new wires will only be a temporary fix.

Midland 77-118. Three wires coming out of unit red, black, and orange. What is the orange for? Also need manual.

Its like the wiring in your house. That little three prong plug. There are three wires, one black, one white, and one green. The green is a ground wire , the black is neg flow and the white is positive flow. Well the red wire is hot ,the yellow wire is neg flow, and the black is ground. Some times the yellow wire isn't even connected. Look inside your radio and you will only see a red and black wire???you will have to google the radio model as such ( 77-118 owners manual)

I have a rf 900 Suzuki 97'. The bike is not

mst likely the connecters in ur switch are corroded or broken. best way to find out is take seat and rear plastic off. on left side of frame by the seat bolt u should see a little box w plastic cover. remove cover, turn key on and put bike run switch on...the take a screwdrive and jump the red to the black w screwdriver. if it turns over its bad switch or wire. if not there is a 30 amp green fuse in the block w the two wires.if that fuse is blown it cuts the current from ur starter switch to the starter. hope this helps.

If the wire is green it's a ground wire and can be attached to any metal screw that is near that area

I have asked this question on yesterday and am still waiting for an answer. I have a1989 Buick Reatta and I had the car sitting there running and I shorted a little light green wire out and the engine...

have you checked the fuses and relays? if this wire ran into the relay box, it might have shorted out a relay running a system in the car for the engine, fuel pump, etc. trace the wire back to where it goes. that should give you a start for tracking down this problem. let me know, will help all I can for not being able to see the whole problem

I am putting 12 inch handle bars on bike and wanna know what kind of brake line i need

You need to know how much taller your new bars are over you old one. If they're 4 inches higher, you need a 4 inch over length brake line. Now, if your brake line from the master cylinder on the handlebars goes to a "junction tee" located underneath the lower triple tree, you can simple replace the upper half. Usually, you don't see this unless the bike is equipped with dual discs brakes.

If you brake line is one piece all the way down to the caliper, you must replace the entire brake line. The best way to do any of this is to put the new handlebars on the bike, install the front master cylinder and use a piece of stiff wire and run a "fake" brake line down to the caliper. Then, measure the length of the "fake" brake line to get the proper length that you need.

Good Luck

Have lg-600p with 2 black wires and 1 green. do i wire the 2 black to the black circuit wires and the green to the negative?

Simply, no...but it's almost never simple is it?
In household wiring (AC) there is really no positive and negative, they are hot and neutral and ground.
Wire black to black, yes. But the green one is the ground and if you wire this one wrong you've got much trouble.

In the box where the dimmer goes there should be two of each wire, white, black and bare.
Join the two whites together and tuck them into the box.
The bare wires and the green screw all go together. Cut yourself a length of spare bare (ground) wire, marrette one end of this together with the other two bare wires, turn it round the ground screw in the back of the box and tighten it down, then join the other end to the green screw of the dimmer. This is a "pigtail" and it makes things easier in many situations. Tuck this into the box.
Last, join black to black.

Can i fix a Dimplex DS5603 by replacing the plug?

change the plug noting the polarity. one wire in the flat cable has a rib running the whole length, the other wire has no rib. the ribbed wire goes on the brass screw in the replacement plug. the non ribbed wire goes on the nickel shaded screw. the green or yellow/green goes on the green screw. the plug is getting warm because the spring tension in the receptacle is getting weak. any little bit of arcing in the receptacle will create heat.
