Question about Watches

I have a vintage papermate ballpoint pen that the mechancial clicker doesn't work correctly. When I press the clicker down, it pushes the fill through the hole but as soon as you release it the fill retracks back in the body. I think, the spring or the plastic piece inside it broken??? How can this be fixed because I don't want to get rid of the pen or who do you know that I can contact to send it too or request parts to fix?

SOURCE: I have a Corum ballpoint

Hi Stuart,

I have the same bp as you. Why donot you ask Corum if it is to be repaired. Maybe they can tell you who the manufacturer of this pen was. I think Delta or Montegrappa was the manufacturer. Mail to cdubois@corum.ch. She was in 2008 working for Corum when I asked Corum more info about this ballpoint.

How do I set the time on a 2 button Reebok vintage digital watch? It came with no instructions.

hi.i dont own one nor have i seen one but ive had old watches before. instead of just pressing the buttons try holding them down 1 at a time and hold the button until the digits flash. which ever button makes them flash the other one will change the time. another way is to press the button 2 or 3 times quickly ? and last try would be to look around the side of the watch and you might find a very small indent ( usualy between the buttons ) .. some of them need a pin to push that in to change the time. there the only ways i know, hope this helps

We purchased a Casiotron R-11 watch, model number 54194. After many years the battery has gone flat, we replaced this but are not too sure how to set the time and date etc. Please can you...

Hey there, Setting the Time on the Casio R-11 until the R-15 ist quite simple: insert the Battery, the you should see the seconds counting on the top of display- depending on the model there are bars or squares blinking every 5 seconds and progressing until one minute is done, then it starts again. When all the bars for the seconds are filled, simply press the button located on the left side of the watch. You can press it by using a pen etc. Now the Hours start running, let proceed until the right time is displayed (notice the a.m. or p.pm. bar on the top/right of the display). When you reached for example 10 (for 10:00 in the morning or night), then you push the select button on the right, then same procedure with the minutes. When you finished selecting the hours and minutes press the button on the right again and the watch starts with the time with 0 sec. You cab set the date by pushing the select button on the right and simultaniously pushing the button on the left with a pen.
Hope it works out

I lost my manual for setting time on a White Deuce Watch. Where can I find instructions

You will need something with a fine point, like a pen. Turn the watch inside out and you will see two small buttons that are used to adjust the time. Place the tip of the pen on the top button and press it 4 times - or until you see the P or A pop up (PM or AM) or time (hour or minute) or date (day or month) flash. Then use the tip of the pen for the bottom button and press it until you get the correct hour of the day. Hit the top button again to get to the minutes. Press the bottom button until you get the correct minute of the day. Press the top button again until you get back to deuce blinking on the watch and you are done.

I just purchased a vintage Seiko automatic DX and I can't figure out how to change the date and day that appears on the watch.

mcdevfito75 here"s how to change the day and date on your vintage Seiko watch, Pull the stem out to the set position and simply turn the stem (winder) every second time around to the 1--2 3 O"oClock position the day will chage, once you get the day push in the stem in all the way, NOW with your fingernail just under the stem (winder) gently lift the stem up to it"s first notch or position, with the stem at this first notch or position, you can turn the stem and the hands won"t move but the date(number) will change, simply go to the correct number / date and your done, push the stem back in a your ready to go.

Fix the hands correct with the dejital

Sometimes a watch will be off center due to shock, dead battery etc. Symptoms are;
hands don’t line up, digital and analog time doesn’t match, Compass function doesn’t
have the hands exactly opposite etc. This can all be fixed. The Synchronization
function can be used:
1. Activate Crystal
2. Tap center until you are the unit’s screen (12h or 24h, F ft or C m).
3. Push and hold (at least five seconds) the center crown
4. Watch will beep and word (SYNCHRO) will appear in the display.
5. Use the top + button to line up the minute hand right on the 12.
6. Use the bottom – button to line up the hour hand right on the 12.
7. When finished, press crown and you will go back to time.
