Question about Casio Illuminator AQ150W1EV Wrist Watch

1 Answer

My Casio AQ-150w suddenly started losing significant amounts of time; when I first noticed, it was 20 minutes slow. I've had this watch for years and it has always kept all but perfect time. Even though I changed the battery 6 months ago, I tried a new one and still the problem persisted. It occurred to me that I really don't know much about electronic watches; so, maybe you can point me in the right direction even if it is to the store to buy a new watch. Hopefully, Eddie Habib

Well, the solution was helpful only by default because it was one that did not apply to the situation which I described in the original post of my problem.

The solution given was to return it to Amazon or have Casio replace it under warranty. This response along with some other included useless information led me to believe that the "Guru" ranked expert didn't really or completely read what I wrote; specifically, I'm referring to the idea contained in my statement that began "I've had this watch for years ..." which precludes any new watch tact on his part.

I was hoping for an adjustment or a procedure to perform on the watch to fix it; meanwhile, I knew that having to purchase a new one was a possible outcome. I would feel better about the $6.00, if I had been just told straight out there was nothing that could be done.

    Regards, Eddie Habib

The "time loss" thing seems to be experienced by buyers of new watches (both the US version MDV-102 and the UK version MTD-1054).
I wonder if Casio have some poor QC on this watch.

If you have bought it from amazon return it to them.Best part is that amazon is great with the returns.
Casio is aware of this problem so you shoulld get it replaced if it is under warranty.

How do I set the right time on my Casio 5208 aq-s800w watch

All you have to do is to set the digital time. After pressing the upper left button for 2-3 seconds the display digits start to flash.By pressing lower left button (MODE) once at a time and by using the left side buttons, you can set the right time, date etc. When finished press upper left button again to complete setting.Automatically the hour and minute hands will be set to the correct time following the digital time.

CHANGE TIME AT CASIO TOUGH SOLAR

Today my 6-year old Waveceptor has adjusted itself to daylight Savings time without my intervention. I was agreeably surprised. For all the years I have had the watch, I kept the module manual by my side just for the two times a year I have to adjust the time.
All this to tell you that you imperatively have to read the module's manual. If you do not have it visit the Casio Worldwide web site and download it. You need the module number. You will find it on the back of the watch. It is a 4-digit number inside a rectangle.

How do i adjust my casio illuminator 3793 AQ-180W

This watch actually is very complicating. It took me a year just to get use to it. Just hold the adjust button (top left hand button) until the seconds starts blinking. Then you can adjust the time, date, telememo, the alarms and the timer

I am trying to change the 2016 battery in my Casio AQ 150W. I put the new battery in but no power. On inside of case it says "after battery replacement, contact AC with battery ( ) using...

I have a similar model.  The electronics sometimes needs to be reset after the battery is changes.  Get a magnifying glass and look closely at the stainless frame around the battery.  There is a small AC mark and a triangle which points toward a small gold contact down in an adjacent hole.  This contact must be shorted momentarily to the + side of the battery to reset the display.  You can bend a metal paper clip to make the connection.  You may have to try several times before it resets. It should reset to 12:00 and start running.
