Our samsung er 4940 is reading closed we can't get it open how do we reset it or correct it so we can open it.

It simply means you have signed out. If you have the ABDE keys at the top of the keyboard, press one to sign on. If you have the secret code system, type your staff PIN number and press the CLERK button. If you have forgotten the code, you can program new ones with the programming manual. I can't sign in under my clerk ID!

Have you tried every other id? If so, you could try a flag clear (see the manual for procedure) which usually loads a clerk in order to allow programming while in program mode. Then you can edit clerk file again. Good luck

Set new prices on casio the-8000f

Hi John,
This model has manager level security to stop staff from accessing the dealer areas. You will need the dealer level access (clerk) log-on. Casio do not give out this information for obvious reasons but if you want to save money and program it yourself, you will need the programming manual that has clerk setup if you don't have a clerk code with full access. One of the users has it listed here:
http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_TE-7000S_and_TE-8000F_and_TE-8500F_programming_manual.html
Hope this helps.

Casio TE2200 stuck in INIT mode and wont let any cashier log on. I have just done a factory reset and set time, date, dept names, and cashier names. Now no-one can log on or off and it seems the till...

It sounds like you might have used the wrong clerk system in your MAC code. If you use a single clerk button on keyboard, you need clerk code set in the MAC code. If you use the clerk buttons at the top of the keyboard, you need to set clerk key in the MAC code. If you tell me the MAC code you used during the reset, I can see which system you are using.

Casio Cash Register, I Need Details On Clerk Function , And How To Use It. Model : PCR-T470

The clerk function is used to log sales under staff numbers. It is usually used when you pay your staff by commission, or you want to track particular sales by certain staff.
To sign a clerk on, type a clerk number and press CLK#. By default, the clerk numbers are 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. They can be changed if you need secret codes.
To sign a clerk off, press SIGN OFF
Hope this helps. If you need more info on clerks, just let me know.

Ok. I need to know these things:
1. which country is it being used in? 2. Do you want a PIN number to log staff on, or just simple log on? 3. Do you have a row of buttons next to the key called CLERK or CASHIER? 4. Will you be using a bar code scanner?

Built in flash inoperative. Other functions still

Hi!
Yes, a well known problem for A200. The flash board has to be changed. You should contact Sony - I believe this a factory problem, so you should ask them to make it for at least half of the price. I work in a Sony service center and I have repaired a lot of these.

Cant open

Hi. This sounds like a Samsung register (SAM4S). It means you have logged out, and it is waiting for a staff member to log back on.

You need to find the CLERK button.
Type 1 CLERK and it should let you in. If you have buttons labelled A, B, C, D then they are clerks, and you just press one of those.

If you have any more problems, let me know the model number, and I'll look into it.
