What you did, is that you restored your iphone just open up itunes, and click restore, and that's it, it will update it to 4.3 version, since it barely came out by apple.

Phone number backup

You can do it via following steps.1.Update iTunes to the latest version if you have not updated recently. To find out if you need to update, launch iTunes and click "File" followed by "Check for updates." If you are on a Mac, click "iTunes" followed by "Check for updates." If you do not have the latest version installed, a dialog box will appear asking you if you want to download the latest version. Click the "Download iTunes" button.
2.Connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cable that came with your iPhone. iTunes will automatically recognize your iPhone and an icon will appear in the left-hand column of iTunes.
3.Click the iPhone icon and the "Summary" pane will appear.
4.Click the "Contacts" tab located across the top of iTunes.
5.Click the check box next to the "Sync contacts with" field.
6.Click the drop-down menu in the "Sync contacts with" field and select a program to sync your contacts with. If you are on a Windows machine, you can choose from four options: Yahoo! address book, Windows address book, Google contacts, or Outlook. If you are on a Mac, your contacts will be synced with the Address Book utility.
7.Click the "Sync" button and all of the contacts on your iPhone will be saved to your computer's address book. Included in every contact will be the contact's phone number. Subsequent syncing will add any new contacts you have entered manually on your iPhone. Hope it can help you.

I cannot sync movies with my iphone4 it says unknown error 13019?what does that mean?

Error 13019 during sync:
Please update to the latest version of iTunes. The latest version of iTunes can be downloaded from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/. If updating to latest version of iTunes does not resolve the issue, continue:
Please follow the same steps if the error occurs while syncing content other than music (applications, podcasts, and so on), but deselect the content that stops the sync. Deselect one type of content, then attempt to sync. Continue until you sync without error. Deselect Apps last, since restoring your Apps would take longer than restoring other content.
Error occurs while syncing music: The error will most commonly occur while syncing music. This issue can be resolved by following these steps:
Select the iPhone or iPod touch in iTunes under Devices. Click the Music tab and under the Sync music option, choose Selected playlists. Deselect the Voice Memos playlist. Click Apply and then click Sync. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, check the device and the iTunes library for duplicate voice memos. If you find any duplicate voice memos, delete the duplicates and then sync.
If those steps do not resolve the issue, then follow these steps:
Select the iPhone or iPod touch in iTunes under Devices. Click the Music tab and deselect the Sync Music option. Click Apply and then click Sync. After the sync is complete, reselect the Sync Music option. Click Apply and then click Sync. Test in a new user account
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, attempt to sync with iTunes while logged in as a new admin user. Follow these steps to create a new administrator user:
Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 From the Start menu, choose Control Panel. Open User Accounts. Select Create a new account and follow the instructions to complete the account setup process. Once the new account is created, choose Log Off from the Start menu. Log in to the newly created user account.
Mac OS X From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences. Choose View > Accounts. Click the "+" (you may need to authenticate to be able to click this). Give the new user account a name and short name and enter a password. Select the checkbox for "Allow user to administer this computer". This makes the user an admin user. Click Create Account. Log out and then log in to the new account. If the error does not occur in the new user account, other content is causing the error. Proceed to the next section.
If the error does occur in the new user account, the issue may be caused by content downloaded or created on the device, such as podcasts and voice memos. Removing content from the device may address the issue.

Can not sync with itunes

If you still have all that music on your computer then just update itunes first then update the I-pod. if you don't you are going to have to use an after market program to pull the music from the iPod to your computer first then add it to itunes.
This happens when the original library is lost in itunes or when you install a fresh copy of itunes on your computer.

Ipod won't display song list after software update

Try this - I had the exact same problem and freaked-out. I too had just downloaded what I thought was the latest software (7.31.3?). Go download version 7.5 of itunes and run the set-up once downloaded. Then, restart your computer and sync the ipod. Works perfect now - and I'm not a computer/tech person. I'm also on a PC, so there's hope. Hope it works for you too!

Have you tried The Famous 5 Ipod R's? " 1. Reset your iPod, iPod nano, iPod mini( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705 ), or iPod shuffle ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300595 ). 2. Retry your iPod with a different USB or FireWire port on your computer (please note that the latest iPods can only be synced through USB). 3. Restart your computer, and make sure that you have the latest software updates installed. 4. Reinstall your iPod and iTunes software. You can download the latest versions of iPod Updater (http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ ) and iTunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ ) from our website. 5. Restore your iPod using the latest iPod Updater. Important: Please note that restoring (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60983 ) an iPod will erase all songs and files on your iPod and restore it back to its original settings. Make a backup of any files on your iPod before restoring it. After restoring, you can transfer your music and files from your computer back to your iPod again.
