SOURCE: Eltron TLP 2642 sucks labels back inside

Turn off the printer and place your finger on the green feed button. With the button depressed, turn the printer back on. Let the light flash2.gif (ONLY!) four times and release the button. Printer will cycle through 2-3 labels. Press the feed button one more time.
You've just set the printer back to factory default.

The printer prints one label and skips another one

First, I need to admit it. This is the worst printer I have ever used. I had all kond of troubles with it.
The skipping labels problem was my misery for 2 days to. I had to find out that my labels were falling out of the printing area generating a new page (label). Go back fix your width. Make sure your label fits one page (label). Print again. That's what I did. Good luck.

MY ZEBRA TLP 2824 PRINTS IN THE MIDDLE OF MY LABELS.

Don't shoot it, they're too hard to cook.

Make sure your program is set for the label size you're using. Also, there is a photo eye under the paper path that picks up the labels. It will, in time come out of adjustment. It can be cleaned with a swab and alcohol.

Print alignment problem. Prints across 2 lables. not sensing the black line on back of label roll.

As it turns out, a good cleaning took care of the problem. I suspect the sensor bar was dirty so it could not detect the black line on the back of the labels for alignment.

Thanks anyway!

It's not the printers, has to be the software.

Label Printing

I had the same issue when using Avery labels, here's what resolved it for me.

Go to Control Panel, Printers, go to the active default, right mouse click, click Printing Prefrences..., change the drop down "Type is:" to 'Other Photo Paper" and apply.

You should then be good to go!

Z4MPlus barcode printer

I have had this problem, but only when I used a label of a size that isn't within specification. Technically, this printer isn't specified for a label that is under 1 inch in height. I have a label that is only 0.2" in height and it will get sucked down inside the machine. I have asked the people who work on the manufacturing floor to advance the label two rows after a print job so that this doesn't happen. Then I ask them to cut the label off leaving the two rows sticking out. So, the next print job will start with the label stock sticking at least 1/2 " out of the printer.

I believe that also my printer doesn't tear the labels cleanly, so there is sometimes something that can catch right at the tear bar. You can probably fix that problem if it exists for you by adjusting the tear bar, or having a machinists slightly sharpen it. I hope this helps.
