Check with Samsung Support if this doesn't work, I went through the entire site, at least 6 people ask the question but 0 answers, is the message next to every single one of them:

Try formatting the disk Inside The Camera, first.....

Will a 4gb sd memory card work on a s630?

Yes and no. According to the manual the S630 will work with SD cards up to 2GB in size and with 4GB SDHC cards. If the cards at the store are actually SDHC cards (most likely since 4GB SD cards are very rare) then they should work fine.

CARD LOCKED IN ES70 SAMSUNG CAMERA

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

If that doesn't do it, try another card.

I have a samsung digmax s600 i works fine without the sd card inserted but when i insert the sd card the camara wont turn on

Be sure you have a standard SD card to put into this camera, not a SDHC type.
You will be limited to a maximum of 2GB with SD, but it should work perfectly.
If not, check the SD card in a notebook or PC's cardreader and/or replace the
SD card with another one. If this does not work the SD card interface in the
camera may be defective.

I have a digimax 4010. Do I get a 2mg sd card? What is the diference between a sd card and a sdhc

SDHC is an extension of the SD standard that extends the capacity from 2GB to 32GB. It's backward compatible in that devices designed for SDHC cards will also work with SD cards. It does not go the other way---that is, SDHC cards will not work in devices designed for SD cards.

I presume you mean a 2GB card, since a 2MB card might hold one picture.
The Digimax 4010 works with SD cards, not SDHC cards. You may use an SD card. Just make sure it is an SD card, 2GB and smaller. SDHC cards start at 4GB and go up to 32GB but, as stated earlier, will not work in the 4010.

You might just need to format the new cards in the camera to optimize them. Try that.

Hi,just bought a 4gb sd card for my digimax s600 but it won,t work.when i switch on camera, screen says..format..yes.confirm ok.when i do this i get check sd card . i put in old card it works fine??..

Does your camera support SD HC? Anything above a 2gb SD card is concider a HC; so if your camera can't support HC format then you can not use that card.

LOCKED

there is a small sliding piece of plastic on the side of the memory card that locks and unlocks your card. Just slide that to the other side and it should work just fine. It's like a "hold" button on an mp3 player
