My jack broke and got a replacement at radio shack and has 3 sqrews in it have red and gold then other two are green and gold how do i hook up?

Some jack cables contain enameled wire, which are red and green. These cables need to be stripped back before they can be solder or put together. Try scraping the ends with a sharp knife or with actual cable stippers. The red and green cables are right and left channel respectively. The gold ones are ground and must be soldered to ground, which could be just any metal part of the jack, not insulated with enamel. Also, if you are going to solder, you should just hold these cables together by twisting to see if you can get sound out of the connection.

You only need an small screwdriver, pull out the blue button and the metallic part, Ready!. Only one thing, you have to forgett about the aesthetics of the shaver, but it's work perfectly, Thanks a lot!

Faceplate

Found this on Howard Forums. Sorry no photos.

CHANGING HOUSING/FACEPLATE:

Take off your battery, unscrew the screws on the back of the phone with a T6 screw driver.

Pry off the back plate, lift up circuit board gently(be mindful of flex cable) remove the flex cable from mail board by lifting brown part by the connector,

Unscrew then next 2 set of screws(be careful of flex cable!) remove the LCD board from the faceplate.

Now put the LCD Panel into the new faceplate. Find the new back slide and put your sliding rails on.(you may also put the slide magnets on from the old housing) carefully thread your flex cable through the opening.

Snap the Back slider on and then screw in the screws, then take the keypad housing and screw it into the slide rails.

Reconnect the flex cable by putting the brown hatch up(gently with finger nail) gently feeding the cable into the connector until the white line is about to the end of the connector.

Then put the brown thing down and apply little pressure.

Put the mail circuit board back into the phone with the headset jack going in first.

Then snap it back into place.

Transfer your speaker over the the new back housing with the prongs facing up.

Then screw on the back housing.

Replace battery and your DONE!!!

Best of Luck.
