The display meanu button of moniter is automaticaly incresing the brightness and other options,due to this is hard to see the screen properly.Can i deactivate the buttons on moniter and adjust the respective options from contol panel? Please tell..urgent

Not sure if this is exactly the same as yours your model hard to find I had 2 similar monitors at previous employer and they both operated the same way Taking a Look 1. Power Switch Pressing this button turns the display system power on or off. 2. Menu/Select ? Pressing this button pops up the OSD menus on the screen, and used to select ("Up" direction) the OSD control options on the screen. ? This button is used to select ("Down" direction) the OSD control options on 3. Select the screen. 4. + This button is used to increase the value of the selected OSD control option. 5. 0 This button is used to decrease the value of the selected OSD control option. Quick Adjustment Function When the OSD Menu is not active, the following functions are available for the quick adjustment. Pressing ? button once pops up the OSD Function Main Menu . Pressing ? button once pops up the small Brightness icon. Use +or 0button to adjust the Brightness level. Pressing + button once pops up the small Volume icon. Use +or 0 button to adjust the Volume level.

go to controle panel then select power option .the power option window will appear .below this window there is a option "screen brightness " drag the bar ,you can adjust brightness as you need.

on the front of your moniter there should be some buttons one is for bright and one is for darker its the contrast adjustment.

By following these steps u can adjust the brightness

Step 1
Press "Menu" on your LCD's display panel (usually below the screen). Various display options will be shown on the screen.
Step 2
Select brightness from the options. This is usually indicated by a sun. Use the "+" and "-" buttons on your display panel to increase or decrease brightness.
Step 3
Select contrast from the options. This is usually indicated by an oval half black and half white. Use the "+" and "-" buttons on your display panel to increase or decrease contrast.

Normally there's a Function button (Fn) and you can use that in conjunction with the brightness buttons on the keyboard (looks like a sun on most)

yes brightness could be increse go the manual of toshiba...actually ON Battry Mode brightness will decrease because for better consuption of battery for long hour. you can increse brightness in it... chk go to the control panel and then go to battery and power option...then change the setting acoordingly...

Did you checked the settings in BIOS. I think you should have adjust some settings in BIOS.

Check your power settings, where the little battery is in your righthand lower tray,look for change screen brightness or something like that,there should be 2 columns, make sure u pick the one that says"plugged in" instead of the while running on battery setting.Adjust accordingly.

sounds like your screen went out, if you need to access whats on your laptop real soon try hooking it up to a desktop monitor via rgb cavble.
