I started my Canon MG6120 for the first time and received the following message: C000 Printer error has occurred. Turn off power and back on again. See the manual if problem persists." I have done so countless time to no avail. Manual has no such guidance with this issue. I think the scanning mechanism is failing during initialization.

Error C000 has also been known to be caused by poorly seated or unseated ink tanks. Another method that can be used to try and fix Error C000 is to open the printer door and make sure that all of the printer's ink tanks are properly seated.

Try switching printer off then unplugging the power for 15 or so minutes. If that doesn't work and same error pops up when you turn printer back on, contact Canon.
I found a solution if you get an error code. I just bought a canon mp620 tonight from Best buy. I followed it to the letter as far as putting the ink in. Closed the lid and it made some God awful noise. The code was C000. You need to COMPLETELY push the ink tanks down underneath their respected sticker letters. Goto www.usa.canon.com look under support. Type in your model number and look under FAQ'S. I also had the error 5100 code. It explains with pictures and instructions what to do. Hope it helps anyone with trouble with the error code c000 and 5100
