Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I started my Canon MG6120 for the first time and received the following message: C000 Printer error has occurred. Turn off power and back on again. See the manual if problem persists." I have done so countless time to no avail. Manual has no such guidance with this issue. I think the scanning mechanism is failing during initialization.

Take it back to where you bought it and let them know it's faulty.

I receive an Error Code 6901 on my MX725 printer, what can I do?

It usually means that it needs to be cleaned.
Take out the cartridges and look to see if there is build up.
That normally causes the error.

Canon MX922 printer displaying code C000

Try switching printer off then unplugging the power for 15 or so minutes. If that doesn't work and same error pops up when you turn printer back on, contact Canon.

good luck

The MP990 is a rather complicated piece of kit and you have obviously disturbed something when removing the jammed paper. When you say "removed the back of the machine" what exactly did you remove? I would have thought that you would have slid up the rear door to gain access.
The error C000 refers to the drive switch being stuck probably by paper.
I have read the service manual and that is the only reference to this "Drive switch". it does not appear in the parts list either, so i dont know what and where it is. However if you still have the piece of paper that was jammed , take a look at it and see if it is all there. If a piece of it is missing then its still in the machine. use a torch to have a really good look inside the machine and i am sure you will find a paper scrap in there. If still no luck then you have no choice but to give it to a Canon dealer (an ordinary repairer will die of shock) for him to contact canon for advice.

Good luck and sorry can be of more help

I found a solution if you get an error code. I just bought a canon mp620 tonight from Best buy. I followed it to the letter as far as putting the ink in. Closed the lid and it made some God awful noise. The code was C000. You need to COMPLETELY push the ink tanks down underneath their respected sticker letters. Goto look under support. Type in your model number and look under FAQ'S. I also had the error 5100 code. It explains with pictures and instructions what to do. Hope it helps anyone with trouble with the error code c000 and 5100
