Chevy express 1999 didn't start, i have a code p1336. i've change the crank shaft sensor but it didn't strat and i have a P1336 code again

Trouble Code: P1336

CKP Sensor System Variation Not Learned
Possible Causes:

Set the parking brake and block the drive wheels for safety. Verify the hood is closed. Read the trouble codes. If a code is set, refer to that code. Start the engine. Allow engine temperature to reach at least 158?F (70?C). Then key off. Select Crankshaft Position Variation Learn procedure on Scan Tool & start the vehicle. Apply the brake pedal firmly and verify the selector is in Park. Increase accelerator pedal position until fuel cutoff is reached at the test rpm (e.g., 5150). Quickly release the accelerator pedal after fuel cutoff is reached. The CKP system variation compensating values are learned when the engine speed (rpm) decreases back to idle speed and the procedure terminates. Read the trouble codes and recheck for DTC P1336. If DTC P1336 runs and passes, the CKP system variation "learn" procedure is complete. If not, look for other codes. If no codes are set, repeat the test procedure.

My camera over exposes everything - the shutter stays open for about 2-3 seconds. except when on video settings. No matter what I set it at nothing changes.

Looking down at the top of the camera, check the left knob. This is the exposure compensation dial. Adjust it to "0". If set one way or the other, it will make pictures darker or lighter. This comes in handy when the image has a lot of dark or bright areas - moving this dial will allow you to make the bright areas darker or the dark areas lighter when you camera's light meter is setting the exposure in a way you do not want.

If still having trouble, make sure the right knob (Mode) is not set to M or Manual. Switch it to Program or Auto and try taking a picture again. You might even want to set the outer knob (ISO) to AUTO as well to reduce the chances of an incorrect setting. If it now works as expected, but you want to shoot in M, you will need to learn how to use the meter to select the correct combination of aperture (f stop), shutter speed and ISO to obtain the desired results.

Oh, experiment with the exposure compensation knob when you have a chance, learn how it can help correct overly dark / bright scenes. Good luck!

I need to change the menu language to English, as it turned to Chinese by mistake. Please help me. Thanks, El-sayed

Hello, That's the same camera I have! I can help you. Follow this sequence to reset all the settings so that the language becomes English:
  1. Turn cam on
  2. Press the "menu" button.
  3. Press right directional key (marked with the flash symbol)
  4. Press down directional key to go to the bottommost entry of the menu (which is the reset all option)
  5. Press the "set" key (in the middle of the directional keys)
  6. Press the up directional key and then "set" to confirm.
There. you're done. Now you don't have to learn Chinese to use your cam!
EXTRA NOTE: BTW just in case this applies to you too; When I first got my cam, I had trouble finding the timer option to time the shutter (1-2-3 click!) It's called "drive mode" in this camera.

A little help if you would be so kind? I have just aguiered a Pentax ME super and am having a little bit of trouble understanding the light meter. The worse thing is I also have the manual, which you'd...

Hi Nathan,

Let's start shooting without film, first.

Example: shooting outside on a bright day, let says between 10:00 to 14:00 with some clouds.

Set camera ASA/ISO to 100
Set lens to the highest number, that's the largest F Stop number.
Set camera to P, which is program. Camera will select aperature and shutter for you.
All you need is the focus and look at those LED lights, to make sure it won't lit & flashing up at the top as well as on the bottom.

If you are viewing a image that is bight without clouds, then the Shutter should be 125 and the Aperature 16. If in the shade, it will be Aperaure 11.

Start with that first.

Focus problem?

Hi

Yes, there is a 'macro mode' setting which is what you need to use to take closeup photos.

Put the mode dial on Auto in camera mode, and then press the 'macro' button, its the one with the little flower icon. The macro icon appears on your screen and you can now take closeup photos.

Have fun, darntoothysam com

Dark picture taking on stage

You need to run it with aperture priority, and have the aperture as wide open as possible (The lower the number the better). You've got the kit lens, which is a notoriously poor performer in low light conditions, you should consider getting one of the Sigma DG lenses.

The other alternative is to get as close up to the stage as possible, and use the smaller lens that would have come with the camera kit. It's a little faster.

Frustrated with learning the Canon rebel xti

I can tell you that the XTi is a very advanced DSLR camera and can't be learned overnight. I've been shooting EOS cameras since 1986 and it still took me about 2 weeks to master it. The manual that came with it is very informative and should provide a basic understanding of its functions. I'd recommend doing a Google search for free photo tips and training. I've got numerous links that I refer to from time to time when I need a refresher.
