It sounds like your washer is not getting enough water to start. If your washing machine is filling too slowly or not at all, then you probably have a clogged screen on the back of your washer. To check this:

  1. Turn off the water supplies(both hot and cold).
  2. Remove the hoses at the back of the washer. Check the screens for debris(i.e. rust, dirt, scale, etc.) The screens will be pushed into the back of the washer where the water enters the washer. Debris can come from a variety of places: #1 Deposits coming off the sides of your pipes.(Older homes) #2 Repairs done to your plumbing lines, or the cities lines.
  3. If these screens are clear of debris, I would then check the water flow out of the hoses. Take each hose with the end pointing into a bucket, and turn on the water to allow a full flow. This will also flush each line of debris.
  4. Reinstall the hoses and turn on the water supplies.
There could also be a number of reasons that there would not be full flow out of the supply lines: #1 Debris stopping up the line at the shut-off is one of the main causes.

If you have debris stopping up your screens and shut-offs, it will most likely stop up your aerators on your faucets, and your shower heads too. It is also suggested that you check these.

If you are getting debris in all these items, I would recommend that your lines get flushed. You can do this, but many times it is easier to have a plumber do this. If you do not know what you are doing, it can get very wet, and time consuming.

Hi my friend has a Idesign counter fridge, but has lost the mannual, we are struggling trying to get the temperature right because we don't know how to set it

Sorry but I am not familiar with your model of fridge but I haven't yet met a fridge that didn't have an adjustable thermostatic control. Somewhere there is likely to be a numbered knob or touchpad control.
A numbered knob is fairly intuitive to use along with a fridge thermometer, touchpads accessing menus and sub-menus are often more difficult and need a lot of mindless fiddling around with before the functions begin to reveal themselves. A manual would be helpful and it should be possible to download a copy from the manufacturer's website from support or customer service.

Failing that try contacting the retailer where you bought the appliance or any retailer that sells that model and ask for a photocopy...

Where is the air and heat blend motor on a 2000 dodge dakota?

Hi Sharon, I'm glad to help. Your 2000 year doesn't have a motor for the temp door. It operated by a cable running from the control head to the temp door and you work it manually. If you can't control the temperature from hot to cold, sometimes the cable come off or breaks. Here how you can see the cable to see if its working. Remove the radio and right behind it you will see the cable attached to the door, while watching it move the temp lever from hot to cold and watch it. If it is moving then its most likely out of ajustment. If it is not moving, then you'll need a new cable. Just in case it is moving, I'm attaching the instruction on how to adjust it below. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Sharon!

TEMPERATURE CONTROL CABLE

Any time the heater-A/C control or the temperature control cable are removed and/or replaced, the following procedure must be performed.
  1. The temperature control cable housing and core must be installed at both the heater-A/C control and the heater-A/C housing ends, and the heater-A/C control must be installed in the instrument panel. See Heater-A/C Control and Temperature Control Cable in the Removal and Installation section of this group for the procedures.
  2. Rotate the temperature control knob on the heater-A/C control so that the knob pointer is in the 12 o'clock position.
  3. Pull the temperature control knob straight out from the heater-A/C control base until the perimeter of the knob (not the knob pointer) protrudes about 6 millimeters (0.25 inch) from the face of the control base.
  4. Rotate the temperature control knob to the 1 o'clock position. Push in on the knob slightly and continue rotating the knob to its full clockwise stop. The knob pointer should be aimed at a position about 8 millimeters (0.315 inch) beyond the end of the graduated red strobe temperature control graphic on the face of the heater-A/C control base. If the knob is not pointed to the correct position, go back to Step 2 and repeat the adjustment procedure.
  5. Rotate the temperature control knob counterclockwise until the knob pointer is in the 12 o'clock position again.
  6. Push the temperature control knob straight in towards the heater-A/C control base until the perimeter of the knob (not the knob pointer) is flush with the face of the heater-A/C control base.
  7. Rotate the knob to its full clockwise stop again. The knob pointer should be aimed at the end of the graduated red strobe temperature control graphic on the face of the heater-A/C control base. If OK, go to Step 8. If not OK, go back to Step 2.
  8. Rotate the knob to its full counterclockwise stop and release the knob. If the knob springs back from the counterclockwise stop, the self-adjuster clip that secures the temperature control cable to the blend-air door lever is improperly installed. See Temperature Control Cable in the Removal and Installation section of this group for the procedures. If the knob does not spring back, the temperature control cable adjustment is complete.

My frigidaire dishwasher model fdb641ras1 controle lights dont light and soap despser dosent open but machean runs

Hi glennjorgens - Try resetting the dishwasher by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and if it proves to be ineffective contact a professional to move forward accurately. Unit could possibly be experiencing a communication issue with the control panel or wiring failure which would need further diagnosing.

Where is the temperature control on model lffh2067dw2

Hi - Generally speaking, the temperature control in a Frigidaire upright freezer is located directly behind the temperature control knob. Make sure the unit is turned off completely and the evaporator cover and gasket will need to be unscrewed to get directly to it. Before repairing or replacing any parts of your appliance, might want to consider contacting a professional to move forward accurately due to safety and liability reasons. They also usually warranty their labor just in case something else may turn out be the root cause of your initial problem. I suggest this in the event that if the unit has a limited warranty and if you continue it will cause the warranty to be voided.

Mine is old, probably a 1992 model - 8700 series. Problem is the cycle control knob is becoming increasingly difficult to turn. Almost can't turn it.

hi, If the knob can be removed, take some wd40 and spray a little in the shaft area. See if that helps. If not, you are looking at replacing the timer. Contact your local parts supply house for parts. Hope this helps.

the temperature controlis most likely bad since you cant control it. the control is the knob you turn to set the temp with. you should be able to replace it yourself fairly easily.
