Chances are the timer is defective. You can have it repaired at a good price which is cheaper than a new one. I just replaced mine lately for 65$,and the washer is working like a new one. Go to a part supply store and they will sent it for repair. It took me 4 days to get it back.

Whirlpool washer won't wash or spin or dump water

usually a broken lid switch if it fills with water and then nothing, set the timer on spin and pull out the timer, open the lid and stick a screw driver into the hole where the plastic acuator on the lid goes into the hole and push down easily and see if washer will run this is where the lid switch is and it's only a safety switch so when the lid is open the washer won't run,if not push up and down on the switch and listen for a clicking sound,no click switch is bad part number 285671,watch video

Won't finish the final spin

Hi there,

When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Post further comments for more information ....

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Stuck in spin

Hi!

If the Washer is stuck in spin then either the timer or a cold-water supply problem is causing this :
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance, then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water

Whirlpool WTW5800SW doesn't always agitate

Sounds like you may a bad lid switch. Do you hear any clicking noise when the lid gets shut. The clicking noise is the lid switch activating.
