Get toothpaste and a yellow duster
slowly rub the toothpaste into the scratched area only in small circular motions.
continue until toothpaste is almost gone,
rinse excess paste off with cold water and then dry disk with the another yellow duster cloth
also in future do not lie your xbox horizontaly (often the cause of this) keep it upright like the picture in this post.
