Question about Activeforever Invacare Stratos Compact Aerosol Compressor IRC1710 Stratos Compact Aeros

Open Question

I have an invacare stratos compact nebulizer machine IRC1710. I washed the parts etc. according to directions, and let them air dry without towel drying them, but I put them in a plastic bowl to air dry, and covered the top of the plastic bowl with a plastic lid, that I discovered had a bit of a tiny hole in one corner, maybe even two or three tiny holes ( or slits.) It is fully dry now, because I let it sit like that overnight, until now. I guess it is o.k. to air dry with no cover on it anyway, but, I still worry that it might get contaminated, even though I covered the plastic bowl with a lid. The tiny little holes or slits in the plastic bowl, or lid, that let air in from my room had me a bit concerned. Will those two little holes or slits let contaminated air into the bowl? Or is it o.k. to use the parts anyways? Please let me know. Thanks a lot. Laurie Klassen.

Routine cleaning Mabis XP.

If your unit is the one pictured, he cup with the medication can be taken apart to be cleaned... the top unscrews and the nebulizer comes out....and should be done so after every use. Do not use house hold chemicals to clean the unit. Use a water/distilled vinegar mixture to clean, then rinse with clean water.

Battery flashes between orange and green

The rechargable batteries have life and will go bad like any other batery. The battery needs to be replaced. Some of the older units are discontinued so parts are no longer available. New nebulizers can be obtained for as cheap as $100.

There is no mist coming out of the neb machine.

No! don't buy a new machine. First wash the mask, tubes and any other washable part really well by hand. There could be some dryed on fluid blocking the flow of the liquid. Then make sure that the part where you put the liquid does not have liquid on top of the ******** part. Usually a bit of shaking off of the liquid or using a paper towel to dry that part off should help. If this doesn't work let the nebulizer dry out overnight with all parts seperate. I constantly have these kinds of problems with my nebulizer and these seem to do the trick if these don't work then you might need a new machine.
