Question about Tasco Luminova 40114675 (675 x 114mm) Telescope

1 Answer

Where can I get parts for 40114675? I've had to return it twice each time it is missing the bracket that holds the tube to the tripod. Would rather order one than keep taking apart etc..

First thing you should do is STOP BUYING Tasco telescopes! This is considered a "department store" telescope and is not very well made. It is also on a shaky EQ mount that you must polar align in order to use.

Return it and buy a 6 inch DOB-- like this one.

Is there a "lock" position on on the 3 leg spread of this tripod?

-Providing that the image shown is the tripod you own..., the top leg lock levers on each leg is designed to lock the spreader angle of each leg.
-If this is not holding the leg at the correct angle...., either you are putting more weight on it than it was designed to hold..., or the 'cam' on the various locks has worn.
-A 'stop gap' fix for this problem is to insert a very thin wedge between the lever & the leg tube..., thus providing a greater amount of pressure on the tube, (this would need to be done every time the tripod is set up).
-Replacement parts are not available for this tripod & they were not designed to be user serviceable ...., sorry!!!

About alternator replacement for 2001 vw beetle gls...I've removed the upper and lower bolts... What am I missing? Alternator still won't budge. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

all the bolts removed then all thats holding it is the adjustable tube in on the lower fitting ,put a bar in and try moving it then it will move as on the lower fitting with the long bolt is a tube in the alternator housing bracket and this is pulled or pushed out to make contact with the support bracket .Check you havent got three bolts holding it as some vehicles have two bolts on the bottom bracket or one long one

I recently bought a used bushnell reflector telescope that is missing a tripod mounting bracket and screw, can you please tell me where i can find one?

You cannot find parts for that very low cost telescope. You can buy a tripod but the cost will probably be more than you paid for the scope.

Here are tripods:

Next time do not waste your money on these types of telescopes. Instead save up and buy something like this:
