Replace microwave coil

If your microwave is totally dead, it may be the line-fuse that is the problem. Leave the microwave unplugged for a day (it may contain a capacitor that could have residual electricity that could give you a nasty jolt). Undo the screws that hold the front outgoing-vent grill.
You may be able to see the fuse through the secondary grill (they don't want you touching the circuit-board, but you may have to). The line-fuse may be attached to the circuit-board.
If it is, undo the secondary grill screws, and bend the tabs that hold the secondary grill to remove the secondary grill.
Pull-out the fuse from the fuse-holder, and get an ohm-meter to test. If the ohm-meter reads near-infinite ohms across the fuse, get a magnifier to read what is on the end of the fuse.
The imprint on the old fuse should mention a rated voltage, and amperage.
Then go to Radio Shack, and buy an equivalent replacement fuse.
Replace the line-fuse with a new one, plug the microwave back in, and see if the display comes-alive, and if it does, set the clock ad try to heat a cup of water. If the cup of water heats, replace the secondary-grill (careful, that capacitor is now in-play) and screws, replace the outlet-vent-grill and screws -- you may not even have to take the microwave off of the wall !

Ignitor keeps clicking on burner

A creda microwave oven doesn't have an ignitor or burner, so I assume you are talking about either a BBQ grill or gas range.

A suggestion: Clean the ignitor tip with a CLEAN and DRY green scouring pad; check that you have gas coming out of the burner.

If you have gas at the burner and the ignitor is clicking (sparking) then it is usually an ignitor alignment problem where the ignitor got bumped out of position.

I used my Polder meat thermometer in my gas grill. The fat off the meat cause flames to touch the probe. When I looked at the read-out it said 406 degrees F and then HI degrees F. Now it just reads HI...

It is possible that the therrmometer has over shot the limit set on it .It can be spoiled because the hat was in direct contact with the probe and has resulted in the failure of the unit.

Jvm2070sh001 microwave problems: the top grill was broken off and removed. The unit turns on and then off after 2 secs. The cam rotates to openb the top grill, are there any other switches that complete...

The top grill problem is probably due to the grille's being broken.

There are switches associated with the grille door and if they or their actuators are damaged, it can make the grille motor want to come on (or not come on) when it should (or should not).

This exploded view diagram shows where they are.

The turning off after cooking for 2-3 seconds is a bad magnetron. See this FixYa solution even though your model number is different.

You can find links to helpful exploded view diagrams and part ordering help here.
I recommend that you bookmark that link to your favorites. You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

Kenmore microwave oven by LG

You can remove the grille and control panel and you may be able to see the magnetron. If not, the oven will have to come out of the wall and the cover will have to come off.

At our site, we have a video showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

There may be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

Here is a link you or someone you know can use to test the magnetron, but please read the safety info: http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/mag_test.html

Even though it passes these tests, it may still be bad. If the cooling fan is working, then it's the magnetron. That simple, I'm afraid.
