There is no need to remove the entire back panel, unless you want too. It's held on with about 6 sheet metal screws. There is another smaller access panel near the bottom of the back panel that is removed to access the light bulbs. It is a bit unusual for all the batteries to go at one time. I suspect it's a circuit that has locked out. Here's what you can try, to get the unit to reset itself. Turn the Master On/Off Switch to OFF. Unplug the heater for 12 to 15 minutes before plugging it back in. Once plugged back in, turn the Master On/Off Switch to ON. Try operating all the functions of the stove one at a time. If the flame effect returns to normal, then the problem is solved. If it continues to reoccur unplug the unit and call Dimplex USA, Technical Service at 888-346-7539. If necessary for you to call, you will need to have the Model Number of the unit, as well as the Serial Number.

Hope this helps you solve the problem.

Testimonial: "Thank you. I was able to figure out how to get the fake logs up and that is where the bulbs were hidden. I was then able to change them. Thanks!!!"

Heater works but there are no longer any "flames."

The flames for most electric fireplaces are a reflection of light cast onto a rotating drum of reflective strands of tinsel. The lack of flames is likely due to a burnt out bulb. In most cases, you must remove the fireplace cover to get to the bulb.

Cant get my dimplex club electric fire to come on

Do the rest of the functions of the fireplace work? If so, turn the Master On/Off Switch to OFF and plug the unit for 12 to 15 minutes. After the time has elapsed, plug the unit back it and turn the Master On/Off Switch to ON. Then turn on the flame function switch. Hopefully, that timeout allowed the unit to reset itself and the flame function is now working. If it isn't, either the flame function switch is faulty or the circuity to the light bulbs and the ro-tater motor that turns the shaft, that he bulbs are attached to, has failed. Without knowing how old the unit is and how much use it's had, it's hard to pin down one thing that is causing the problem. If it's any consolation, you are not alone. Hundreds of these electric fireplaces (all makes & models) fail every year.

If all else fails, contact Dimplex USA, Technical Service at 888-346-7539.

Hope this helped to solve your problem.

Fan working heat coming out no embers

It's a bit unusual for all the bulbs that create the flames to go out at the same time. But, I guess it could happen. However, I thinks more likely the flame switch or its circuitry has failed. Not at all that uncommon in electric fireplaces and stoves, regardless of who the manufacturer is. It happens more than you'd suspect. If you don't know how to access the light bulbs, check you Owners Manual. If you know longer have your Owners Manual, go to the Dimplex USA website and you can download the Owners Manual in a pdf format and print it for future reference. Have your Model # handy when you do this.

Hope this helps you solve the problem.

The "flame" on my unit

The circuitry that controls the flickering flames may have gone bad. Or a wiring connections to the bulb harness may be loose. In some cases it's just hard to know because these electric fireplace/ heaters aren't intended to last a long time. I'm not throwing stones at just Dimplex. That's the case with 98% of the manufacturers. We stopped selling electric fireplaces 4 or 5 years ago, just for that reason. Just to many callbacks on them, after as little as a year..

I think too, that most people who have them don't thoroughly read their Owners Manual and provide the routine maintenance that's required. And, I'm not saying that's the case with you. But, I wish I had a dollar for every questioner I have provided a possible solution for.

If you still have your Owners Manual try to trace the circuitry and trace the wiring for the light bulbs. You may find the answer there.

Hope I've been of some help to you.
