Quick-Change Blade Mechanism
Higher-end models, such as the Linefinder Orbital Jigsaw, feature a clamping lever to hold the saw blade. To change a blade, switch off the jigsaw, unplug it, and let the used blade cool down. Pull up the saw-blade locking lever and let the used blade fall out with a slight shake. Turn the jigsaw upside down. Hold the fresh blade with its teeth forward; insert the blade shank into the blade holder as deeply as it will go. Release the lever and wiggle the blade to confirm that it's snugly in place. For models with rollers, such as the Accu-Trak, nestle the blade against the rollers.
Clamp or Hex Screws
Loosen the pair of screws -- on the front of the mechanism of models such as the single-speed jigsaw -- a full turn counterclockwise with a flathead screwdriver, but do not remove them. The used blade will fall out. Insert the new blade fully into the clamp. Lightly tighten each screw alternately and then fully. On older models, you may find a single hex screw on the side of the blade. Loosen this enough to remove the blade, and then insert a new blade carefully so the teeth face forward. Retighten the screw.

My blade keeps falling ou every time i try to cut what am i doing wrong model # CJ110 MV

could be a couple areas to look into. First are you using the right shank blades. Next are you inserting them and tightening the lock sufficiently. That is the only 2 problems that you would need to look at.

My Hitachi cj 110 jig saw blade keep falling out I have tried different types of blade What?s the deal with that? I don?t know why someone would put a quick release holder on a blade shaft of a power tool...

WOW everyone really cant figure out the problem??? Take your jigsaw blade and hit it with some coarse sandpaper or a dremel and knock the finish off the edges and sides depending on maker and it willl work just fine. The blade companys put a super slick finish on the blades. not the saws fgault.

This jigsaw seems to suffer from the same problem as its predecessor. Whenever i use it to cut through a kitchen worktop or any material it never gives a straight vertical cut through the material but...

I can't speak to the diffuculty you're having with that particular model, as I haven't used it. But in general, the stability of the cut depends upon the guide mechanism of the saw, and a three point guide is better than two point or single point. A three point guide assemble will hold the blade firmly locked when inserted into the column, will have a roller bearing that supports the center of the blade path, and will also have a finger pinching mechanism at the base near the material, so the blade can't waffle in the cut. Aside from changing saws, all I can recommend is that you make sure the base is correctly locked in place at an angle square to the blade, when fully extended. Check this with a small trysquare against the base, and look from both sides of the blade. Some folks will even attach an auxiliary base to stiffen theirs up, though this shouldn't be necessary. Then make sure you're using a sharp blade with the correct tooth count for the material you're cutting, and don't force the cut. Let the saw do the work, and make sure you hold the base firmly against the worktop as you cut. If you force a cut with the orbital action on full, you'll get more deflection.
Other than that, all I can say is that I've had good luck with the newer Bosch jigsaws, and the best cut I know of comes from the Festo, but we're talking serious dollars there.
Good luck.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

I looked at a breakdown and there is no clutch for this tool. I suggest if it a newer tool taking it back for warranty repair and if not going to Hitachipowertools.com and typing in your model number and looking at the breakdown before attempting any repairs of your own. Let me know if I can help
